Kawasaki Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS launched in Indonesia
Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is getting ready to be launched in Indonesia as a Kawasaki.
Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) has launched the compact sportsbike in the archipelago yesterday. As spied earlier, the bike will also offer Kawasaki’s trademark Lime Green color option.
Bajaj has previously stated that few improvements have been made on the Indonesian spec Pulsar 200 NS which will eventually filter down to the Indian version. Interestingly, the Indonesia version gets sporty looking body graphics.
The 199.5cc single cylinder oil cooled triple spark ignited engine still employs traditional carburetor instead of a electronic fuel injection system. The media reports suggest that the performance figures also remain the same as the Indian version. However, the Indonesian websites of both Kawasaki and Bajaj are yet to be updated with information on the new bike.
The motor develops 23.52 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Kawasaki Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is positioned below the Ninja 250 as an entry level sportsbike for city dwellers.
The Pulsar 200 NS will rival with bikes like the new Yamaha Vixion 150cc and Suzuki Inazuma GW250. The latter is expected to arrive in India sooner than later.
The Kawasaki Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is priced at 23.3 million Indonesian Rupiah (around Rs. 1.34 lakh).
Contrary to the previous claims that the Pulsar 200 NS for Indonesia will be locally assembled, the bikes are actually exported from Bajaj’s Chakan plant. So it is safe to assume that the Pulsar 200 NS with body decals will soon be available in India as well. And please give us that Lime Green color option as well!
