Yup, R15 has got carbon-fibre frame/chassis which makes it very nimble during cornering but also increases its price quite so much.

But guys has Pulsar NS got 4 valves or 2 valves per cylinder.I read its SOHC so the question?
[surprise]Nope. Nope. Nope. Not even the MotoGP bikes come with a carbon fibre frame/chassis as its extremely difficult to make it work. The R15 doesn't even have an aluminum frame. It's frame (and swingarm) is good old high strength steel. Even an aluminum frame would have shot it's price upwards of Rs 1.5 lakh. If it were to have a carbon fibre frame, the price of the frame alone would be a couple of lakh rupees.

It has a four valve head. SOHC/DOHC has got nothing to do with determining the number of valves on the cylinder head; they merely refer to the number of camshafts that operate the valves (Single Over Head Camshaft/Double Over Head Camshaft).

News came that the Bajaj Auto has already started working on the Pulsar 200 development of a fully faired variant of the bike.

Yup. Heard the same too. Difficult to convince Indian bikers that naked versions are not any less 'posh' than fully faired ones.

Any idea about pricing droy?
As said earlier the prices are said to come below 1 lakh.Atleast in Bangalore it would come near a lakh or so because of the RTO charges,so in your region it would be lesser than ours.
This was said by the dealer when we inquired about the NS.

I personally love naked bikes more than faired ones. Also to me FZ looks better than Fazer and also CB 1000R much better than tame looking FireBlade. And not to forget the iconic Ducati Monster- my favourite bike of them all[:D].So I will choose a naked( pulsar) anyday over faired one--- social status be damned!!

OD's Sirish Chandran says that this bike has amazing ride and handling with linear power delivery and a top speed of 140 kph, after all this bike is based on KTM Duke 200. If the pricing is right, R15 might be affected.
