Need a Second Car at Home. Budget: Rs.15 Lakh

My father likes Micra too due to its shape.We almost bought Micra in 2013-14 but due to financial constraints,had to cancel the purchase.One of my friend,who bought City VX Diesel an year ago has suggested me to go for Brio due to its looks.Waiting for Jazz CVT pricing.Brio VX AT pricing is ₹7.5L and VX(O) AT pricing is ₹8L on road Hyderabad.

How about used Beat Diesel?My brother's friend is selling 2014 Beat PS Diesel,which has run about 15K Km and it's a Telangana registered car too.Colour is Sandrift Grey.He is selling his car for ₹4.5L.My mother said ok and had to ask my father and he said no as he didn't like it and again a used car.Instead,told her to get newer Diesel car.Had suggested to get Ritz VDI as it is cheaper.Present on road price in Hyderabad is ₹7L and Maruti is offering ₹70K discount on Ritz Diesel.As I already have experience on Ritz Petrol since last 4.5 years,I felt it good due to high seating position.Note this car belongs to my grandfather and car has done 43000 Km.If we buy Ritz,in that ₹70,000 I would get alloys and tyres and basic ICE(don't want to spend much on ICE) as I want to get performance mods.Second stage of ICE would happen later as we don't have much money.

City will be a good one for you ,
Going from Vento to Vento won't give you a fresh feel, though you can argue that it has more eqips under hand,but as i always say C segment ruler for decade is City,try hand on that.
Advantages of Ivtec-
Known for mileage,Reasonably priced car with lots of equipments under hand,Top one has segment first Sunroof.

Advantages of Idtec- Tuned to economy,don't expect power in it.
Disadvantage of Idtec
Bit priced higher, owner of amaze and city diesel have only difference in terms of equipments offered,but city owner ends up paying more money for it.

Disadvantage of both ride-
1.No rear Disc Brake.
2.Skinny tyres

Vishnu-I always feel Honda City is the best ever car.My favourite since my childhood days.Hope we own this car some day.We considered the same when we purchased Vento in 2013 but lack of Diesel as our running is 2500-3000 Km.Now considering it.

I have seen 2 Honda City's for sale.One is 2012 version VAT with sunroof in white colour done 11000 Km and asking price is ₹9L.Negotiable till 20-25K.This makes car will come at ₹8.75L and one more is City VMT IDTEC 2014 model 13600 Km and asking price is ₹11L.Advantage is car has completed 1 year and TS registered.After negotiations,car is coming at ₹10.75L which I felt VFM.This car is equipped with projectors,OEM Modulo grille,Rear spoiler and quality leather seats.Whereas 2012 one has Pioneer Touch screen system.We are considering Honda City used one.If it is new,will look at SV CVT and VMT Petrol as VX is over our budget.

Present cost of SV CVT in Hyderabad is about ₹11.5L and VMT is about ₹11L.

Whenever my mother takes our Vento out and father takes an auto and do carpooling,I pester him'why not a second car at home,so that you could take your Vento and buy a car for us'.His answer is 'will buy it soon'.Whenever I ask him the same thing daily he says the same answer and ask him when?We are buying it soon.I got fed up with answers given by him.Our fathers does like this and they never do anything for our family.

And that's the reason I wanted to buy a scooter before buying a car so that you could get the scooter by same day.

Disappointed with Jazz pricing.Removed Jazz from the list.If I buy Jazz,will go for Jazz CVT only.Now,my father started liking Tata Zest due to Diesel AMT.Considering Zest due to VFM factor and Diesel AMT.Its VFM than Polo GT TSI and Jazz by ₹50K.Or else,will go for City SV CVT,which is ₹2L more than Zest XTA.If its Zest,will consider XTA due to touch screen,safety,Alloys,cool looking DRL's.

If new car isn't a immediate need and a suv is in your mind then perhaps you can wait for ford next gen endeavor .
Which is possibly going to be launched this calender year .
Only doubt is its price so fingers crossed .

Endeavour is out of budget as our budget is just ₹15L.Considering XUV or Innova instead.But,problem is parking space in our apartment.It is limited for only hatch and sedan.

Instead of second hand car Tata zest is better however compact suv would surfice your needs and the parking would not be a problem... Check out Scross or upcoming creta. Should be in your budjet.

Here comes the shocker!Decided to replace our Vento with XUV due to expensive maintenance.Already got a buyer and willing to buy Vento for ₹7L.

The second car will be added too but it is used within city.

Have decided XUV or Innova as a replacement for Vento,which is completing 80,000 Km in few days and maintaining a VW car is becoming expensive and many TAI'ians had suggested me to sell Vento due to resale value after 80K Km and expensive maintenance.

About second car,this would be used within city itself.Budget for second car is ₹8L.And considering some used cars like Rapid 1.6 TDI,Honda City,Laura TSI,Civic too.Yesterday while I was searching for used cars in OLX,I found a Rapid TDI 1.6 Elegance 2012 version in C.Beige colour for ₹8L and car has done just 24000 Km.I found it mouthwatering but dad wants that car for ₹7.25-7.5L.If its a used Rapid,I would get some mods like 205/55 tyres,remap and ICE and I found a Laura TSI 2012 one for sale at ₹8L which has done just 33000 Km and colour is black.I had chatted with that owner and as per him he is getting 10-11 Kmpl in city and 15 Kmpl on Highways.

when have you planned to get the XUV/Innova? I see so many TAI members have suggested you so many things but you dont seem to have decided or taken any step towards buying process .
No offence but I have a feeling that you are not keen on any car buying in the immediate future and this discussion is not giving anyone else any fruit. I may be wrong and I apolagize in advance.
Please dont keep this thread going on and on and on without any car buying actually happening.
