Go for XUV facelift. It sounds like a well rounded package. It has this immense delivery of torque, that is rare in modern diesels. You can just cruise around and if you want to overtake, just a gentle nudge on the accelerator is enough to move past without any drama. You can drive with a light foot but still overtake most of the traffic. It may be monocoque but it can take abuse on our roads without much drama.

SInce you already have a Vento, why go for it again? It will be the same car.

If you are looking at City, why not look at Mobilio? We are all very impressed with the car and has just completed 20000 kms service. Very nice to drive, everything is precise and direct, be it the steering or brakes or even the power delivery. Only drawback is the noise from the engine, which is mainly due to poor insulation. Believe it or not, it is the only 7 seater I don't mind using the 3rd despite my height and size.

CC-No Mobilio as my father didn't like the looks of that car.How about Rapid DSG?I felt this is better for our city driving as the traffic in our city is worse.Rapid was one of my choices when we bought Vento 2.5 years ago.Black Package in Rapid is very tempting. If it is Rapid, will go for Black Package in Red or Black.

Planning to learn driving the car this year as I'm turning 18 next year.Already asked my parents and they agreed it.

Rapid is a good car but it is basically a Vento. When you have a vento and why do you want another one?

Renault Fluence starts at 14.72 Lakh (ex showroom - Delhi). It is worth a dekko considering that ride quality is one of the selection criteria.

My dad loved the car because its a German. Why I want Rapid because it is bit sportier in looks than Vento. If it is Rapid,as I said earlier will go for Black Package + DSG.My cousin owns one and they are happy with the car but its Ambition Plus with Alloys

Krishnavamshi24-Didnt show any interest on Creta and about Polo GT TSI,is in consideration as we need Automatic.

Nuvo-No Fluence as I didn't like the looks and out of budget

In that case, go ahead. Our family friend just got a diesel dsg. Very smooth and has better features like projector lights.
But our only grouse is another sedan and that too another German. So,as of now XUV seems to be a best choice for my father. If it is XUV,we may go for W6 or W8.

Had enquired Skoda regarding Rapid DSG.Normal one costs 14.1L and Black Package costs 14.25L.
Sounds quite outreagous.Better buy an XUV W6 at that price. But,still put on hold due to attractive schemes on Rapid.

And,also looking at hatchbacks like Swift,Polo,i20 and Jazz as we are going to sell our Vento by next year.Yes,my father said, will sell the Vento within 100K Km.And,budget constraints may happen as we need another car to replace our Vento next year.

@music swift, again, please dont compare an XUV with any sedan. It is quite a ponderous vehicle in terms of ride and dynamics. Although 2015 XUV claims to have improved low-speed ride quality. Buy an XUV for what it is, a big, beefy looking crossover that can seat 5 people and lots of luggage, 6 with some luggage and 7 people with their handpurses (not even shopping bags).
But depending on where you drive, you will have to be aware of its dimensions at all times. A sedan is much better to handle under the circumstances. A Duster is somewhere in between. Proportions of a SUV, and ease of handling of a sedan.
Have you considered the upcoming Abarth Avventura/Punto Evo option? With 130bhp on tap, those cars are going to have near monstrous performance. And Fiats are built really tough.

@Music:
Just one suggestion and repeating it again; wait for Creta. Maybe you will get a sweet vehicle at a sweet introductory price.
No matter what but the 1.6 CRDi of Hyundai is a super refined engine and Hyundai deserves a look for all they offer on a car in terms of true premium feel.

How about Automatic cars at 9L?I felt Xcent is far better in terms of features. An automatic car seems to be better for traffic as the car is driven mostly in city.

VW GT TSi is the one to go for then, a proper automatic with a proper 7 speed DSG gearbox, ESP, hill hold and a lot more. As much spacious as Xcent is and comes with a big boot(by hatchback standards ) too.

And yes, the pocket rocket performance also

GT TSI costs ₹10L in Hyderabad and Xcent SX(O) costs me ₹9L with extra features over GT.I love GT as the performance is just amazing. But,another VW at home?Na Na.But,convincing my father to get another VW for city use.Had a plan of buying new car since last 1.5 years, but had to postpone it due to some reasons. But,still eating the brains of my parents to get the car.Still he is not buying a car[frustration].Everyone in our friends circle has 2 cars but we are the only one to have one car at home[anger].Told to my parents that if you don't buy a car I will go and buy a scooter for myself.Sometime in Oct-Nov 2013,we had got a good deal on a Polo used one and almost bought it but had to reject it due to some personal reasons.Sold our Innova in 2014 to our cousin and 800 in 2013 to my brother's friend. But,still living without another car.Dad knows the difficulty we are facing since last 1 year. But still he is not understanding the problem we are facing.I hope he will buy a car this year.2014 was one of the worst year for our family as my uncle passed away and huge losses faced in our business.

If you're looking for Automatic Hatchbacks, the 2 best out there are Nissan Micra CVT & Honda Jazz CVT. Polo TSI is good but is expensive & will be another VW in you're home.

In Sedans, Xcent & Amaze are good. The latter has better gearbox (5 Speed). Xcent scores in Equipment & Better looking Interiors while Amaze scores in Space & Better Performance.
