Seems it can be simply pried off looking at the images in Boodmo. A closer inspection after removal might help decide mend or replace. Had similar issue with Polo's vents and simply mended them

You are totally correct! I tried to do just that,and was successful in removing the vent.Since it's already dark now ,I will wait till tomorrow and will work upon it first thing in the morning and then give the feedback . Thanks for the tip!!

Looks like the vent can be repaired. Over all the condition of the vent is alright. It's only the wheel shaped part which is malfunctioning. I have dismantled the wheel shaped part which is broken. I suspect this may function again if I am successful in sticking it with glue.

Repairing broken air vent of my XUV 500 W8 in my home

Special thanks to deville_56 and Driveright for giving me valuable inputs!
It was really tricky.
Step 1) Pry out the vent with a screwdriver taking care to not damage the plastic trim around it.
Step 2) I disassembled the whole vent into small parts
Step 3) and then reattached the wheel to the broken base,using adhesive and wire attachments.
Step 4) put it all back in reverse order.

Now I am getting the same air vent from the retailer at 25% discount on the market price. Surprisingly child parts of the vent are also available. This could have been very useful earlier when I was working on it. But now I will go along with the jugaadu work already done. If this doesn't work out for long, I will give the new one a try.

Today morning noticed this marking on both the head lights. I wonder what it means. Anyone has any idea?

Did you notice the figure is in percentage? Its 1.3%
Maybe it has something to do with % of dipping of headlight,or % of loss of intensity in low beam.Just guessing.

This seems to be some kind of Calibration mark. Maybe the Dip or angle of Headlight is aimed 1.3% Downwards.

Seems the covers are wet? If parked outside and it's taking all the rain then it is not good for the car. It is advisable not to cover the car during rainy season.

Get the TPH waterproof cover, that one works wonders even if its raining cats and dogs outside. Absolutely no water filtration happens through the cover.

Thanks for your suggestion. Will look for this brand soon. Rains are already at the end( season ) so maybe I will prepare for next season.

Covers are a bad idea in monsoons be it normal ones or Water tight ones.
Once the car gets wet (Or even Ground Below it) and when the water starts to evaporate the Steam collects inside the cover (and Hence on your car) as there is no way to escape. This will cause Accelerated Rusting, paint Damage and Heavy Growth of Mould/ Bacteria as The Micro-system inside the Cover and your car becomes very humid.

Covers are only for light Dust and sun protection, Ideally used under covered parkings.
