Dear ZDi(+) / ZXi(+) owners,

Is the spare wheel an alloy or is it a normal steel rim wheel ? Somewhere I read, some dealers do mischief and replace alloys with steels and say that it is company fitted.

Not sure but I feel its steel not alloy atleast it's steel in Zx ot sure a out Zx+ trim. Anyways TD Petrol Ciaz 2nd to 3rd gear shift felt stiff is it same for outhers? SA told it bra d new car and no PDI has yet done for the car hence the feel.

Please clarify.

I am considering Ciaz zxi Petrol .I currently own sx4 zxi .I Took a TD on ciaz and noticed the ground clearance as a problem was scrapping the belly on humps and speed breakers never had this issue with sx4 which had a GC of 190 mm versus Ciaz 170 MM .keen to know the feedback from long time owners on this low GC .do you have issues on speed breakers and pot holes ?? please advice asap. hoping to finalise by end of the month (waited for creta which is beyond my budget )

I initially planned for Creta and then midway I realised that it would be out of budget. Then looked for Verna and Ciaz. Ciaz being vfm booked it. Opted for Zxi. About ground clearance, I have been going through differnt ownership thread but heard no such problem.

i purchaed a new Ciaz Zxi+ 10 days back againt an exchange of my Sx4 Zxi car. driven around 300 mkts. and pretty ok in the performance. As of now keeping up to my expectations.

One problem I have and the dealer also checking with Bosch and maruti engineers on the problem with the music system. as per the manual, I can conect an external DVD player thorugh the USB port in the system and play music/video DVDs. But in my system as well as the similar cars in the dealers show room the external DVD player is not working.

did any one checked this thecar ? is this working ? if it is working how is the settings..

I am in the process of finalizing on ZXi + for Rs 11 Lacs OTR bangalore(after including the discounts ) .some dealers are also offering zxi(o) ...I thought zxi doesnot come with navigation but with sensors ???..i also persume it has 15"wheels Right ? or is it 16 "

would appreciate your feedback and anything I need to watch out for like 3m coatings etc

Andy I also have VX SX4 with me of Dec-2007, at present its run 26K. Being a dis-continued car, I would say its a good price for Petrol version. As it is you might be knowing, what sort of FE it provides. I say, go ahead with the deal buddy. All the best!

Hi Rama I am also based in Bangalore,own a SX4 Zxi petrol 2007 and on the verge of exchanging it for a Ciaz Zxi ...did you change the tyres to 16 "? I feel awkard but wondering on the deal you got ??...I am getting a total discount of rs 40 K including the exchange bonus for the sx4 .(25discount +15 exchange bonus)

Did you feel the ground clearance an issue on the notorious speed breakers and pot holes of bangalore ??My sx4 has GC of 190 mm versus Ciaz 170 MM

I also noticed the dashboard is high -seats are low - drier seat can be adjusted no issues is the passenger seat is comfortable for ingress for old people ??

Bimal Maruti (bangalore), I know offers 25K + 15K discount for petrol ciaz
and, 25K + 25K for Diesels..
However, this is not applicable on lease/company purchases, only for individuals.
For Company lease, it is 15K & 25K for petrol & diesel , respectively.

PS. in the SMS i got from Bimal, they said - Save upto 66,999*. Not sure about the additional 16,999/- though.

Queries to Ciaz owners ;

According to Maruti Suzuki manual for Ciaz - The spare wheel /Tyre can ONLY be used for emergency and the original Tyre repaired or New one is to be fitted ASAP.Two spare wheels should Not be fitted to the car .

Does this mean the spare wheel /Tyre is Inferior in quality and suitable only for short period ??

It looks like Ciaz warranty does not cover corrosion and paint - I didnt notice it can you please check and confirm .Does Maruti provide any anti-corrosion protection fo the under body of their vehicles I cant see any information on this if they are providing then whats the need for 3rd party coatings like 3 M for New cars .
