Re: My Own First Car – Volkswagen Polo

can you tell me where i can get seat cover as company fitted in highline that are ossam looks kool.
i have enquired vw and 5 major dealers but not available.
In my highline, the seats are fabric ones.

But new highlines are getting art leather covers with white black combo. I think you are talking about them.

Such seats should be available at a good accessories shop. I am looking for pure leather, saving money for that.

Re: My Own First Car – Volkswagen Polo

Hi Kush,

I have a VW Polo Highline and I'm pretty disappointed with the HU provided. I'm looking to upgrade the unit for now but leave the speakers because they're pretty decent. Just wanted to ask you if there was any specific reason you went with the Sony, rather than the others in the market?

Thanks!

Welcome to TAI Radhika. Its a petrol or diesel?

Are you disappointed with the sound quality or the lack of USB and auxiliary port? I think the sound quality of head unit is pretty decent, and you should go for changing the speakers first. We have many threads on head unit and speakers. You might wanna check out them.

And please tell us more about your polo.

Hi right now -
my average for 2nd tank full comes to 13.3 with 100% AC (521 Kms in 39.2 Ltrs) hope the same increases.
Whats avg for you and Radhika?

Hi radhika,
I will also say first plan to upgrade speakers.
If u wanna really have AUX/USB then go for HU.
I have installed Sony since screen is wider than Pio.
Display quality better than Pio.
Sony has ipod software conectivity (I loved when connected to IPOD).
Other features more or less similar.

I will say my sony HU looks good but company fitted HU is better when comes to fitting.
My HU is around 1Cm ahead of dashboard(HU Space).

Hi firtly sorry for non touch with TAI coz of some extra work pressure..
I have parked my car in a gully near my office and someone made a mess to my bonat and driver side both gates. I think he has used screw or some pointed thing to make scratches with full comfort.
See atached pic marked in black of distruction performed by that person.

Now let me know the possible solutions for this..
Has any one ever used scratch remover pen advertised in TV?

I tried posting in the morning but couldn't due to net connection problem.

No need to worry. Get a formula 1 scratch out (or any similar rubbing compound) and use a soft cloth to rub the scratches. I have done this and I am 100% sure that all scratches would disappear. Just rub a bit firmly.

And if you come to know who did this to your car, tie him to rear of your car with a solid rope and drag him to highway till dead end.

First of all really sorry to see those scratches on your Polo. Sadly our cars are left in the open and you can't really do much about such incidents. But If you do get hold of the culprit, please do what Rightnow advised you to with him.

Formula 1 scratch remover is good. Try that it will surely make the scratch less prominent. And after that maybe a nice polish coating over the bonnet will make it unnoticable.
