Amit, thats good FE figures that you are getting. But i guess the Liva should be getting more FE compared to Etios as a friend who owns one gets very similar mileage on his etios.
Get 3M underbelly protection would get the sound levels to much lower zone along with Dampmats, they are equally good as dynamats but if you can go for dynamats they are the best ones to opt for.
In city driving, I am getting 16 - 17 kms/lt with 100% AC on in bumper to bumper traffic. For sound deadening I am planning dynamat superlite which is light in weight too.

Is the NVH very irritating?

In GD-SP, is the optional package components (compared to GD) fixed by the dealer or are they factory fitted?

Does one have the option to select only a few components from the Optional package of GD-SP?

Yes the NVH is irritating. In gd-sp all other features are factory fitted.

Mileage update -- In bumper to bumper city traffic with AC, my liva gave 18kmpl.

One more thing, yesterday while on highway I had the wipers on, however I do see a fine curved scratch from left to right on wind screen. Is there anyway to remove it? [confused]

I need suggestion on following things,
1. Beading -- I need a door beading for my liva. How do I source the same?
2. Headlight upgrade -- How are the Philips extreme vision 55/60 W bulbs?
3. Will the 3M under-body coat reduce engine and road noise?

I am also looking for beading. Dirt gets accumulated near the door trim. Very irritating. Need to clean very frequently. Lousy design from Toyota

I have switched 60/55 W osram night breaker. High beam throw(Osram design) is good. Stock low beam is better. Since I do a lot of highway driving, I am happy with Osram.
Philips extreme vision will provide a better beam spread I suppose.

I went for 3M under chassis coating (Door deadening - 5 year warranty). The noise levels have indeed reduced to a great extent; Please go for it. But Liva is still a very noisy car even when slightly reved.

I also noticed the single wiper leaving nasty streak at times. Once the windshield is cleaned fully, the streak disappears.

Bought the super-mini ELM327 Bluetooth adapter -- Fitted it to OBD port II and downloaded an android application. I have now got MID, which displays much missed RPM, instant fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, coolant temperature and the the list goes on. Nice to have device.

Thanks. Please post more details about this app. What price did you buy the ELM327 for and where did you procure it from?

What is the percentage difference between the speed shown by the app and that shown by the speedometer?

skoda octavia's door beadings are a perfect match for liva, have seen a liva fitted with the same. i have upgraded my headlamps to osram offroad blue vision 100/90 along with philips relay kit and its really worth and i have noticed a slight improvement in noise insulation after underbody coating.

The NVH package in the recent facelift is pretty decent, i have never found the engine noise irritating even at 3 digit speeds
The only problem that i face now is even when the hand brakes are on, once you depress the clutch to shift to neutral, the car moves by a short distance which can be problamatic in tight parking conditions, anyone else having the same problem ?

Hi Friends,

My liva is due for its second servicing at 10000 kms.

I am planning for --
1. Synthetic oil
2. Door beading (Please guide me for same)
3. Good quality horn -- Can I fit innova horn?
4. Good quality seat and steering cover
5. Reverse parking -- sensors or camera? which is better.
6. Sound deadening -- Is it worth investing in it?

Let me know your views on the same.

Hi Friends,

My liva is due for its second servicing at 10000 kms.
Congrats!

I am planning for --
1. Synthetic oil
Go ahead. If synthetic is expensive, then semi-synthetic should do the job.

2. Door beading (Please guide me for same)
Put this type of beading on the doors, looks decent, protects the doors.

Pic Source: Google.

3. Good quality horn -- Can I fit innova horn?
Any double horns should do the job well, You can Bosch's in 500 range and hella's in 800 range. I prefer Bosch, neat simple and decent.

4. Good quality seat and steering cover
Art leather seats it is always. Can do that within 4k.

5. Reverse parking -- sensors or camera? which is better.
Xenos parking sensors are good enough and costs below 2k, camera isn't needed.

6. Sound deadening -- Is it worth investing in it?
Your car is the newly updated one right? How do you feel with the current sounds in your car (i.e., road noise,etc..)

The damping is a costly process (starting from 6k or so) so think wisely before spending.

Time to post some pics too.
