excuse me,
but isn't this too stupid?
for 55k you get a very dated dinosaur spec head unit, which still fails to work many times? I mean 800mhz proc? man. today's handheld CPUs are over 2 ghz and have 6-8 cores.

I'm using my Android tablet as a head unit in my i10 to add GPS,videos and touchscreen. I can use my tablet aux and connect it to HU for full sound effects.

MUCH smarter move.

55k Service Invoice

Hello Friends,

I got my car serviced last week and would like to share the invoice here.

45k and 50k services were done last year and now its 55k service. However, my car odometer is at 48.5 KMs only.

Its a simple service without any part replacements, everything is fine. Thanks to Honda for giving us trouble-free vehicle. [clap]

Thanks...
Best Regards

Hi Dr.Mudhan and friends. apologies for the delay in reply. 1) the pioneer headset cost me 31k, panel 3k and labor plus cables 1k. i think the shop is situated in a complex named like kg plaza or something, on the left hand side of GP Road, just opposite a vegetarian hotel and just before the woods road junction. there will be prominent displays of pioneer posters in the rear side of the complex visible from roadside. the shop is on the first floor left hand side. anyone interested can get in touch with my electrician [Sri.Palani-9841136427] who can get you some more discount than if you go direct. 2) the reverse camera [cost 1k] is no more posted in ebay. anyhow i upload the foto for reference and research. the reverse view is already available in page 61. The view in low light is also good and it is tilt-able to some extent. though i went for the model which can be fixed on the number plate [to avoid putting holes] finally i had to put a hole in the chrome bar to fix it. 3) the head unit works well with many input options and the sound quality with native speakers is enough for me. budget permitting, may be i will do some research and go for component speakers as suggested by some friends, in future. my review of the head unit will not be complete without the mention of substandard display. even 10k taiwan tablets have better display and user interface. if the name pioneer and substandard display is enough one may go for it. otherwise the hardware and specs may be sufficient for most of us.

Dear Dr. Mudhan,

First of all thank You for making such a detailed review. [clap]
I haven't seen such clear and sharp details else where. Everything is well explained and the most loving part is that there is link to each topic in the first page itself.

I made this as my user's manual for my honda city ivtech. This is really awesome. Being a silent watcher I used to read all the posts made by you and couldn't resist posting it here right now.

Inspired from you, I had ordered the following items from alliexpress.
1. Fuel Lid chrome garnish
2. Ac knobe
3. strober LED for rear center brake lamp
4. pair of LED brake lamp
5. pair of reverse LED lamp
6. 4X turn signal amber (i came to know about flashing it faster in a later stage. but it was too late. The item got delivered already)

Now I am working in Malaysia. All the items got delivered to here and need to carry to India and try everything once I get home in next July.[:)]

The latest feather added to my dear car (FALCON)...
Dropped the idea or getting new ICE, instead got this bluetooth connector to receive/make phone calls which also has a charging point and capable of play music over bluetooth from phone directly (poor mono quality though [;)] )

I will try to hack into this and try to integrate it with the car's audio system.

Friends, the CREE fog light LEDs have just arrived. Will it be a good idea to change the bulbs myself or should I see a mechanic?

I couldn't find any youtube video for Honda City on "How to change the Fog Light bulb", so I don't have any idea how to access the bulb for changing it. Any help/pointers please?

@ koushh: Hi. your seat finishes are good and the blue colour looks really cool. i also bought the door plates but did not install them yet.
Thanks SUNREX... [:)]

Installing fog lights is not so easy as other bulbs in our car. One way is to remove whole bumper to have access to fog lights and the other way is to remove front wheel cover plus engine cover and there will be little access to fog lights. I have tried both of the ways. Here you will find details on how to have access to fog lights without removing front bumper and here you will find front bumper removed picture but I have not provided info on how to remove the front bumper.

If you are not familiar with these or don't ruin anything, its better to get it done by experts.

Thanks a lot Cracing.
However I am a little scared seeing the pics. I am planning to get the headlights done (Angle eyes), will get this done at the same time.

Meanwhile I will install this in my car, should be easy and fun... [;)]

Dear Dr. Mudhan,

I have a Honda city 2011 (preface lift model) SMT. Planning to get alloy wheels. What are the things to be considered while buying one?

my car has run 20k KM so far. Running on stock 175 good year Tyre.
I wanted to replace the stock wheel with aftermarket alloy. For now I will be using it with stock 175 Tyre. but later i have plan to shift to 195.
what spec would be ideal? please give some of your opinion.
i am confused with width, offset, hub dia etc.

while searching internet I found some of the following. I am not sure if it is correct.
