Hello All,

With very useful post of CRACING installed Michelin Primacy 3ST 195/60 R15 on my car.
I must say this tires are super silent & very very comfortable. No noise on bumps or on potholes. Really very good choice for City.

Set of 4 tires cost me Rs. 23800 including Alignment & Balancing. They have also activated its warranty, got message from Michelin regarding activation of warranty. Shop owner is very clear for warranty terms & conditions. He clearly states there is no warranty on Bubbles, Cracks etc so you can assume it as Warranty = No Warranty. [surprise]

Anyways if any one wants to upgrade the tires of City then its recommended. [clap]

Hello HaruH. Good to know that you went for 195/60 R15 spec. Can you confirm if your ground clearance has increased? Also, after the tire replacement, do you feel the steering wheel heavier than what it was earlier? How is the feedback? With 175/65 section tires, City steering feedback is satisfactory, not as good as Linea or Fiesta, or not dead as Verna or Vento.

Hie, I believe ground clearance is same as earlier because car scraps on every speed barker which it was scrapping with old tires. Steering feedback is same as earlier, I always believe City's steering is very nicely tuned, It provide very good response on low speed & gain fine enough weight on cursing. On very high speed say above 130+ its pathetic but how often conditions allow you to do it?
Pretty impressed with tires, on concrete surface also they are so silent earlier i need to raise the volume of music but not the case now.. [:)]

Hello Friends,

Finally today I got passenger side airbag inflator replaced for my car. Attaching tax invoice that has description about the replaced part.

Reminder: I think the above said part has arrived in all the Honda Service Centers and if your car is pending for recall/PUD, check with your nearest service center and get the job done asap. If service adviser says your car isn't applicable, I urge you to reconfirm the same from Honda Customer Care (customer_relations@hondacarindia.com).

I had to contact customer care to confirm 2nd PUD and I think they arranged the part for me and a lady from service center called me when the part arrived. Others including service adviser(s) didn't know about it, even today! [surprise]

Thanks...
Best Regards

Hello Doctor,

You are still using Those Philips Xtream Vision on Albus? How are they performing?
Now a Days Philips Xtreme Vision Plus +130% are up in the market which is I think more powerful then +100% bulbs.

Product Link: Philips X-Treme Vision H4 Headlight Blub (Set Of 2Pcs): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

Any one have experienced the performance of those bulbs? If they are good then it will be helpful for other member to get the cheap up-gradation of headlights. [:)]
Hello Dr.

I have been a user of Philips Xtreme Vision Plus +130. Is the best in its category and also for our car as stock replacement.

Was curious about LEDs. How do we zero in on a suitable LED headlamp for our car for the same socket and 60/55W 12V rating as the Aliexpress descriptions for LEDs are not similar to halogen bulb descriptions.

Recently I bought 2 H4 12V 60/55W bulbs off Aliexpress to try out.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Super-Bright-White-led-car-light-halogen-lamp-bulb-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H9-H11/32724844155.html

I replaced one of the Philips' bulbs as one of the Aliexpress bulbs had a shaky shell and turned milky while checking. Illumination and throw seems okay with the Aliexpress bulb. Will share a pic

Yesterday I came across Philips Racing Vision +150 halogens. Heard they have been launched in H4 and H7. And it is seen compared with Osram Nightbreaker Laser. Anybody seen these products in India yet?

Thanks for your visit to this thread and query.

I too wanted to have a CREE type H4 (not a projector) but I am discouraged by the ANHC Housing design, non availability of good 4300k and by fellow forum member’s experience.

IMO:
Cruise control is a desirable feature to have especially on long drives on good highways to relax your legs for couple of minutes every now and then. But it suits a country where there is really regulated traffic. Unlike other countries we need to be very attentive in India while using, as the traffic and crossings are highly unpredictable and makes it practically not much useful.

There are some good aftermarket universal CC kit like ROSTRA, but these Cruise Control on Drive-by-wire puts a sensor at the end of the accelerator feeding a computer. The output from the computer goes directly to the fuel injector. There is no cable to attach it work economically.

It is best to buy a car with OE CC or to leave it on the peddle.

I personally feel that it is to be avoided as it cannot be done safely and successfully.

Hi Dr.Mudhan & everyone.I am visiting here after long time.Don't want to hijack the thread but I am facing issue that is the reason I am here .
week ago just like usual I was trying to insert the key to start my Honda city (Ivtec 2009 model) ,but I couldn't move(turn) the key to start ,I thought must be steering locked but It wasn't the case ,I tried many times but key didn't turn.So I sprayed some WD40 and tried next day , but same - key was not turning . I don't know How it happened , before this I wasn't using my car much - just once in week or so .
I called showroom ,they said It must be Ignition lock malfunction ,so need to change Ignition set .So has anyone faced this problem ? Is there any solution other than changing whole Ignition set ?
You can see in the picture that Ignition hole lid is open which should be closed when key is not inserted .

Thanks for remembering & coming back to this thread.

Your issue is different from mine what I had earlier and wrote about it here:

MY ALBUS: HOW DID I GET OUT THE "STUCK" IGNITION KEY!

But
WHY AN IGNITION KEY WILL NOT TURN

The three reasons why an ignition key will not turn include:

Reason 1 of 3: Supporting component problems - Steering wheel/Gear selector/Battery

Reason 2 of 3: Issues with the key itself - Bent key/Worn out key/Incorrect key

Reason 3 of 3: Ignition lock cylinder issues - Obstruction/Stuck springs

The final reason Wear and Tear which warrants replacement / need to change the Ignition set.

@ Dr Mudhan, thanks for helping me on the query.
I am in the process of buying a used Honda City 2012 V Automatic Sunroof model. How much mileage can I expect in city and in Highway if driven at say 120/130 kmhr?
I heard in some reviews that city mileage is very as much as 8kmpl. Is that true?

I called my garage wala, he removed my Ignition and took it to Ignition specialist.
My key was worn off and it damaged my Ignition from Inside.
So they repaired my Ignition and made new key. It's a working fine now.
You can see my damaged key up, and new key down. Showroom told me to replace whole Key set which would have costed me 12k,and this work done @Rs.3.7k
Thanks Dr.Mudhan ji.

Hi everyone ,
Today I took my car to service and I bought engine oil from my regular retailer .He convinced me to buy new in market Repsol 5w30 engine oil . After filling this oil in engine ,level showed almost 100ml less , I searched and found that Honda city engine oil capasity is 3.6Ltr if I am not wrong and we filled 3.5Ltr(can was 3.5ltr ) .So do I need to fill more 100ml oil ?or its fine ? I don't know if same oil can be bought in low capacity .any suggestions ?

HONDA recommends, 3.4Litre (3.6L when including new oil filter), OE container is of 4 litres.

Read More: ANHC - WHY THE RIGHT ENGINE OIL MATTERS?

Repsol is a Spanish oil major who are extremely active in motor sport and have been the title sponsor for Honda’s factory MotoGP team for years now.

Their Premium car engine oil Repsol Elite NEO 5W-30 comes in 4 & 5 litres can also

Since you bought 3.5 litres can (?), you leave it if it is between min and max level in dipstick measure. If necessary you can buy another can later if lesser quantity is not available.
