Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Hearty congratulations for your new machine. May you drive many more miles with it [:D]
Thanks..

Congrats Varun bhai................When are you giving a Treat :)
Thanks, when ever we meet.

Oops you started doing DIY on the new Enjoy., I know more to come and waiting for that :)
Ha Ha, more to come in few days.

Hi Varun,
Congrats!:-D
Nice wheel caps. Scooty horn, really? Pics please. Did you solve the noise problem with the door speakers. What is the ice?
Regards,
Thanks, Yes scooty horns..
ICE is just 4 speakers & a pioneer HU (front Hertz components and rear JBL speakers 6.5 inches)

Varun,
Congrts man. 1.3l mil from chevy is best tuned motor of mjd available in india.
For the speakers jarring just get the wooden spacers fixed so that they the speakers dont touch the metal panels.

Maybe you can get some tuning box or get the ecu remapping done from Code 6 guys for improved performance after your run in period
Thanks, I tried fixing the wooden spacers, but when I fit them the door pad won't fix so I had to use small plastic spacers.

ECU remapping would void the Warranty I guess, so no plans as of now.

Congrats Varun on your all new Enjoy.
I don't know how i missed this thread for so long.
Wish you miles of Safe and Happy Motoring.
Good to see a few issues being resolved.
Have you filled the tyres with Nitrogen?
Thanks, there are few more small issues, will get them solved in next visit.

I am running on normal air.

Congratulations Varun! I am really sorry for the delay in wishing you!
But i guess its never late. [;)]
Have many many happy miles ahead! [:)]
Thanks Varun.

Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Completed 30 days ... odo now is 972 kms.

Today's DIY..
Very necessary accessory for big cars : Reverse Sensors.

First I was thinking to get the camera with screen but I dint like the looks of it and I would lose the Day & night function in the IRVM.

Finally got Xenos Safe reverse park sensors. Costed 2k.
I have done the wiring so that I would not face any warranty issues.
I have not sliced any wires. For +ve I have inserted the wire into OEM bulb coupler.
-Ve I have connected to the tail lamp bolt.

Fixed the main relay/ circuit board onto the tail lamp itself.

Some pics..

Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Nice DIY there Varun, the sensors (though annoying a times) is a must need accessory for big cars. One Suggestion, place the sensor indicator in the left hand side, because if you keep it in the right you cant tolerate the sound!

Any update on the FE? I think mine is giving ~12 kmpl in the city.

Also, please do check if we could fix the tavera's steering wheel instead of OE one, the current one gives hard time while honking [cry]

Thanks Vishwas, I too taught the same, but keeping on the left side the display would not be visible properly and also routing the wire would be task since I had all the connections on the right tail lamp.

Dint check the FE. But last time it was 15.7 kmpl, city & highway driving with full A/C. I have got bosch fun 2 drive application (OBD) it shows the instantaneous avg per liter. Let me try and post it here.

I was planning to get Beat's steering wheel instead of the Tavera's it looks better.

Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Nice DIY. The car is very big and its risky while reversing without such aids. Good that you did a DIY, from where did you bring the wire to the dashboard? plastic panels/under carpet.

I have taken the display wire on the right side from the plastic panels.

Sunday did a trip to Kolar, enjoyed a lot. The car pulls effortlessly even when 7 people on board and A/C on. I touched 140 once (just for few seconds) and the RPM was around 3200 - 3400.

Tried Bosch fun2drive app, it showed me the car was producing nearly 74 hp in some stretches.

Yet to check the mileage.

Some pic's with my cousin's new Waggy !! which came along with my car.

Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Both the cars look good in this colour. How is the brake booster's in your car? Is it enough for such a big car?

OT:
I think I know this place (my sister's home is just the other side of the track!)

Nice pics and DIY! superb [clap],

The Wagon-R looks good in that chocolate color, guess your cousin and yourself are overjoyed driving both the beauties, I don't know if the photo looks like that but does this Waggy come to the height of Enjoy?

Anyway, will meet you this weekend with my cousin's Scorpio, anyone can join us for giving some ICE suggestions for the Scorpio, I would be glad to meet our TAI members there.

As per my recent conversation with Varun, i think the brake boosters in mine and his are not effective nor too helpful while braking, the brake play is long in mine while Varun reported something's wrong with the brake.

Any issues which can be sorted out here?

BTW how did you place the sensors on bumper?
He drilled holes from inside of the bumper and then placed it.

Thanks, booster is fine, but feels hard at some times but does its job to stop the big car.

Ha Ha, this is towards the railway station.

Belated congratulations for the brand new Ride...

Thanks, Have placed the sensors (four point) on the bumper.

Waggy is almost the same height of Enjoy, it comes with 155/70 R14 wheels. Now the brake booster is fine as normal. But after hard braking it will become hard then after few uses it will be back to normal.

I guess brake bleeding should help, because when I complained about hard clutch last time they just bleed the clutch line and it is butter smooth after that.
