Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red
issues i faced : hated the horn since day one, since i was embarking on a long journey , wanted better horns, i got them changed with bosch power horns ( pair instead of the single bhopu ones we have) , took extra care that the wires r not cut, after a hundred km's the horn stopped working. since it was highway had to stop at the local repairwallah. he took a look and told me the horn fuze had gone off and he did not have the fuze which these new cars come fitted with. I drove down to chandigarh without horns for the last leg of about 100kms.
next day went to the electrician in sec 21c market. The electrician was a novice, i told him to simply check the blown horn fuze and do nothing else, he asked me to open the bonnet and wanted to check the wiring, i shouted at him and told him to concentrate only in the fuze box. he tried to find the horn fuze but cud not. Took out a couple of fuzes and placed them back. Since he was going nowhere, he put the blame on me saying u want this and that and he will not fix my car. I was pissed to the core and decided to take the car to honda but to my surprise the car did not start. I feared the worse. New car , not even a week old and blah blah, new city and now i am in a mess. I called him back and asked him what else did he touch. he was adamant that he took out the fuze and placed them back in the same position. I said i want my car back in the same way it was. He called his superior. This guy seemed more knowledgeable and asked the earlier guy as to what he did. He started checking the fuzebox and started matching the fuzes with the stock picture on the fuze box cover. Line 3 did not have any fuze in the pic but the novice electrician had placed a fuze there. he simply placed it in the right point and bingo my car started. I told him to check the horn fuze and in seconds he took it out. As confirmed by the highway mechanic, it was the one that had issues.
The stock one was 10amp and he suggested me to go for 20 amp since i was using 2 horns now instead of one. His decision proved right and I came back to delhi without any issues.
