Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

not yet, but i found a noise coming from the company fitted gear lock , while driving, it fits like a pen in a penstand and that was causing some noise. am not sure if this was the same noise i felt earlier. more driving on bad roads will make things clear.

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

anyone got his horns changed, hate the stock singe horn, sounds more lika a bhompu  when they opened the bumper to put in the foglights. i cud see the horn, asked my SE to replace mine with a honda city one and i wud pay for it but she refused saying they dont have horns for brio.

even if i get it done from outside, seems the bumper will have to be removed, hate honda for putting the horn below the bumper :p:

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

Any update on dashboard rattling sound??
I got my BRIO on 6th April 2012. Having clocked 1600-odd kms so far, I still haven't experienced any rattling sounds from the dashboard.

It might be purely on case to case basis, incase if a few people have encountered this issue. Alternatively, the same has been rectified by the service centre. SO I wouldn't term it as a major setback considering the overall VFM the BRIO offers.

I suggest you take a TD asap. Try visiting a few dealers like Linkway Honda, Solitaire Honda, etc. Once you decide to book your car, do so from the dealer who gives you the best offer. Also check the proximity of the dealer from where you reside.

I am still deciding to buy 1..own i10 but its steering is so vague..thats y i dont want to take any chances this time!!
the rattling if exists is not a major issue. the boot space is a major issue if u wanna travel big with a family. apart from that u wont get wrong anywhere by owning a honda.

people keep staring at ur car, stop to ask u questions , want to feel the car.

while installing autocop, yes 5 different people stopped to take a look and ask questions....novelty factor with the car is great and its an amazing feeling :p:

agree with santoclauz. Also the more you think, more u tend to find faults and give non issues importance & they hamper ur decision making process. Look at the +ve points more and weigh them with the negatives.

FYI, the SE told me that they have a cash discount of Rs 20k on S(O)MT model in august + insurance free. If you have S(O) model in mind, i dont think you will get a better deal so soon in near future. In the S model she said only insurance free,no cash discount, maybe u can try for a 10k discount as well like i got.

i got Autocop XS installed for Rs 2800. He had quoted me 3k initially.

Took the company guy about 1.5 hrs but he did a good job. The engineer left the boot part since he found no place to fit in the switch. Now everything is protected except the boot!!!! The back glass being so big, he said there is no place to fit the switch as there is equal padding on all sides and placing the button will prevent the boot from closing properly. Also he did not want to take any chances with the rear glass. Said the company is planning to add options for such cars and if they release something for the boot in future, i would get a call.

it covers all 4 doors and the front bonnet, has reverse horn, car finder option, option to mute the reverse horn and also the locking part. The remote control is water proof so that is a bonus. Best part i liked was i can still open and lock the car with my stock keyless key as well. This security system needs to be fitted with the drivers door only unlike in old cars where u had to open all doors to get them fitted.

I did not take the sensor one intentionally since i had that in my palio and found it to be more of a nuisance. if it rained hard, the sirens used to get activated. My car had a battery drain twice and the case worth mentioning is while i was out of station during diwali. The sound of crackers got them activated and when i came back, the batter went kaput. Add to my misery, had to listen to complaints from my neighbors that the sirens kept ringing for a few hrs and they cud not sleep

was a big headache initially and later i had to get the sensors deactivated.
