Question to Nitin,
I am about to take delivery of Honda brio V(MT)
The honda guy told me service would cost like 2k?
but you mentioned its free?
They will charge the oil change, cleang filter and additive, right?
Is that also free? WOW
got 1st free service done 3 days in advance. Speedometer had clocked only 850 odd kms.
purpose of visit to ring road honda was to get the fog lights installed. Finally after a month of wait, they are now working properly. Since i was at the showroom, asked the service guy to do the 1st free service too. Took about an hour.
Also got 2 years extended warranty for 4900 bucks. The cost is going to increase by Rs 700 from Sept 1 ( Rs 4900 to 5600 or so). Also honda is increasing the cost of RSA by Rs 300 odd. So if anyone is planning to get extended warranty , its the right time to get it done before month end.
Observations after 1st service
the gears have become smoother.
engine is revving up better
the car started shining more
coz of the polish :p:

First two service are free, Oil is not changed in 1st service.
But if u do wheel balancing and get other consumables, that is extra.
The 2nd service as per Honda will constitute -
oil change
oil filter change
Drain plug washer
wash fluid
which will cost around Rs 1600 + wheel balancing etc. So ur estimate of Rs 2k would hold true for 2nd service.

yes, read the manual to get more clarity. Ask them what consumables are they talking about. You can say no to them. They may offer you wheel balancing and tyre rotation ( paid basis). Say no to them and get them done in 2nd service only and that too from outside if need be.
Also you can get service done from any Honda dealer. My 1st service was free and the details for 2nd i posted after speaking to the engineer.

1st service is just routine check,maybe a top up if need be. but yes gears were much smoother after 1st service.
for 2nd service which is gonna be after 5 months of 1st service, let them tell you what all they plan to do. then decide there and then. no point going with a preconceived mind after all its ur hard earned money which is at stake.
no idea about 3rd service nor would i think about it so soon.

polo was never in contention since i was fixated with the Brio. Honda brand name + A.S.S. was a big plus. I have no idea about October offers but currently they are offering loan of Rs 3 lacs to be paid back in 3 years at 0 per cent interest plus insurance free. OR you can have insurance free plus LED tv plus road side assistance plus extended warranty. This scheme is valid for the top 2 models S(O) & V. For S, they are giving a 10k discount. You can haggle a few accessories while making the deal apart from the above.
Also mid october they plan to launch Brio automatic in S and V models. expected price is 5.40/5.50 for base S AT and 5.70/5.80 for V AT ex-showroom Delhi. In short OTR price of @ 5.99 and 6.40L.

I dont think they are offering 3 lacs intrst free or LED TV, at least in Bangalore.
I asked two Honda dealer, they are quite unaware.
I am thinking Bangalore deals are very very bad, when compared to Delhi/Mumbai/chenai.
like i told u i got v(Mt) at 5.85 lacs after lot of negotiation.
Only floor mat, car cover and door protector(side protecctor) will be free.
I have also requested 4 bumper protection, but no sure
is this a bad deal? or is ok?
