if you will be able to limit the car below 120 kmph then you will get good figures otherwise not [:D]

on sunday i drove till 180 kmph only once and then i continued at 100-120 kmph.

problem with that highway is the speed limit is 100 while no one drives at that speed [lol].

Honda has put a speed throttle in Brio. i think it does not go beyond 130 and i plan to check it myself this time [:D]

and wrt my driving, i stopped looking at the green light since it requires you to drive with a soft pedal. There is nothing soft left in my life while driving in delhi :p

i have easily taken it to 145kmph without much effort, 1 of the forum guys i think mentioned he took it beyond 150 but i cant get past 145.

unlocked brios in thailand go up to 210 kmph.

Speed Cut off function in Brio is it a some sort of security feature keeping in mind of the car's weight and dynamics?

Yeah true it definetly goes beyond 130, I have went till 155kmph after that i was told to slow down by my better half. But to reach 150s you need to press the pedal harder and it zooms. [clap]

I liked the car the way it tocouches 100+ effortlessly from 70-80s. [:D] but, FE takes beating if you go beyond 120s i guess. Recently I got 18+kmpl(a.c on all time) with speed in range of 80-120 with frequent down shiftment as on Mysore highway there are lot of speed breakers[anger].

As I feel the comfortable speed for any hatch would be around 120kmph and which Nitin enjoy in the same range not abusing the beautiful Brio too much. Safety first and speed next !!

you can check NH4 towards Hubali from Bangalore. It is not as good as Yamuna Expressway but after tumkur you can zoom and can always maintain above 100

Speed function lock is kept keeping in mind road tarmac conditions n safety , rather than dynamix i think. Brio being a low weight (926 KG ) and short gear ratio car, im sure it can easily 200 +.

i saw some of the utube videos abt the unlocked brio in thailand and also the forums (ilovebrio.com), they maintained that brio is still stable post 200.

i ws a lil suprised by this claim, but i think they would have modded the suspension 2

trip was wonderful, road is excellent. Only Issue is the concrete road which results in too much noise in the cabin. My car has a speed limit throttle set at 144kms. It refused to go beyond that and its surprising that the brio owners mentioned above they have managed upwards to 150. Maybe they changed the limit in later produced Brio's.

We started at 10.30am and i reached Taj Mahal exactly at 1.30pm. The expressway i covered in around 90 minutes. After the expressway ends does the real ordeal start. The expressway ends on Kanpur highway and you need to take a U turn after @ 400 meters.

The traffic was scarce on the expressway. The car withstood the brute force i thrusted on the speed pedal with aplomb. On reaching the 1st toll plaza, the fellow at the booth asked me to slow down as he said you are driving at speeds above 140. I was like  Seems they have speed sensors placed at strategic points and keep a check on people like me. :(

I had decided after crossing the 1st toll not to fly again. The harder i tried but still i could not drive below 120/125. On the next toll i asked the booth operator about the speed i am driving. he said you are @ 120 to 125 and he gave me printout with the details. I was again  and asked him if there is a fine for over speeding here, he said no. With the tension over i was back to 140 plus for the rest of the journey :p:

The approach road to Taj Mahal is pathetic. Cant understand why UP government cant sort the approach road issue since Agra is a very important tourist destination.

Left Taj Mahal at 6pm, got caught in a major traffic jam which resulted in my reaching expressway at around 8.15pm. Since my friends wanted to buy the Original Panchi Petha, we went the opposite direction towards old Delhi Highway and our destination was the shop opposite Sri Talkies. The rush at that shop was sufficient proof of the fact that we were at the right place.

The return was as pleasant as our arrival. We stopped at the refreshment zone at Jewar for a cup of tea and at 11pm we reached CP and had dinner at Zen.

With winters setting in and fog returning to delhi, i took out time today and got my headlights replaced.

installed a relay from Hi-Lex, model HI-9046and bulbs from Hella - H4, 100/90W, check pictures attached.

will take my baby for a drive tonite and test the light throw and am expecting much improvement in terms of brightness and visibility.

damage to pocket : 800 bucks all inclusive.
total time taken : 30 minutes.

also had a small dent on the front right side which was bothering me since long. Got it removed today. Damage to pocket 100 bucks.

hella is competitively priced anyways. i took my car out last night and oh man, it seems i was in day light. I should have done this last year itself.

@ darkkid ; did you change the holders also. I read contrasting reports with few saying to change to ceramic holder with 100/90w and other saying that you need to change them with 130 plus.

p.s i have no idea what these ceramic holders are and will google them now.
