As I understand, the service frequency is after 1month, and thereafter every six months. is the second service with is due after 6 months, due after 6 months of purchase or 6months of first service (i.e after 7 months of purchase)

Also, what all should I ensure or put in service request while giving for service. my car has not done many kms.

Honda Brio's first service has to be done after 10000 Kilometers or after 6 months from the purchase day of your car or whatever occurs first. You can also get it done based on your Kms reading. If you want to get it done monthwise , Imagine You bought the car in Jan. 1st service will be in feb and then again service will be due in june.

Thanks Ajay. What I understand is that the first service is after one month of purchase or 1K kms, whatever comes first.

My doubt is for the second service and from your post I understand that it is after 6 months of the previous service.

Any input for the last part of my question. any special care/things to be done before the 2nd service.
Thanks yet again.

1st service is just a routine checkup, actual oil change and all starts in the 2nd 6 month service which is 5 month after the 1st service.

i wrote a review about my 2nd service in this thread. oil change , filter change etc, nothing special.

2nd service is 6 months from purchase date and there after 6 months from previous service. 1st service is a normal "check-up" more than a service, as mentioned in nitin's post. :agree:

Hi Nitin,

Just saw this thread and see that you have fitted the armrest. I am also keen on doing that in my Brio. Had a few questions,

1. How is the fitting. IS the armrest firm or does it move around. I am assuming the the screws are out into the plastics around the hand break.

2. I use the hand break quite a bit. Is it a problem with this handrest. The whole handrest looks quite bulky, wondering if it blocks the handrest ?

3. Considering the height of the handrest, is changing gears a problem, as in is the handrest the same height of the gear (or atleast close)

Thanks!

1. fitting is not an issue. but yes your rear bottle holder gets blocked and unusable

2. in bumper to bumper traffic its a pain to use it since you dont get much space to maneuver your gears. the positive side is it is retractable so you can push it back. if you are more of a highway driver freak then comfort level is amazing.

3 you can adjust the height accordingly. so height was never an issue.

they all look good but plastic quality requires a lot to be desired. delhi heat made the plastic of my arm rest crack. but then after spending only @ 800 bucks i should not be complaining.

Just back from my 2nd service. As Nitin had rightly pointed out, nothing much to do in the 2nd service also. Just filter and oil change. Cost Rs. 1400/-. Have not been able to drive much after the service and would get to know the difference after a while. btw what all differences can I expect in the ride quality?.

Thats grtt Rikku....please share your reviews. I am interested to know about the Drivability and FE's. Meanwhile i have completed 2.5k lovely drives.

I had one funny incident recenlty on one of highway drives where FE shown in mid was an astonishing fig of 27.3kmpl[:D]. I couldnt belive the same but was happy showing my friends.[clap]

I don't know if I should use the word complain, but here are my two observations.

1. The brio tends to fool by its looks. From outside, it feels low on space and legroom, especially on the rear seats.

2. The rear glass, though its USP is acting detrimental to its sales I feel. But again when you are in the crowd, you do feel unique and will observe the other on road staring at the looks of your car. A big morale booster.

3. The brio is approx. 50-60K priced over similar models of its competitors. Really feel if they can bridge this price gap, they can surely kill the competition.

During my last service and infact during the first service also, the SA advised to go for 3M anti rust coating costing Rs. 3500. Friends can pls. advise, whether its actually required as I stay in delhi. And can we get it done from outside and if yes, is it really worth.

Also was thinking of getting some accessories installed but cant think of any for SMT. Not interested in alloy wheels. Pls. advise.

1) +100
2) +200
3) +300
coating is not required especially in delhi unless its a freebee, had you been living in a coastal city then it would have made sense.

there are many accessories which can be installed. depends on what you actually want. better to check with accessory shops since honda dealers keep a huge margin for themselves even on locally procured stuff

on aug 1 , i would complete a year in TAI and my car would be one a day before that. my car has got a few scratches here and there and except for one scratch on the left side which was my mistake, rest have been others doings. perils of living in a metro like delhi :(

the experience here has been wonderful, made new friends, learnt a lot of new things and its evolving day by day.

booked my brio for service tomorrow. lets see how it goes.

best wishes on the anniversary. The brio baby surely deserves a treat and what better than to get it serviced. Clean, Shining and full of life. Ready for a long ride.

Do post on your experience at the service centre . btw which service centre do you visit. the first two free service are compulsorily carried out at the selling dealer's wkshop the rest is open to any dealer. since this would be the first fully paid service, the costs are bound to be high. do let us know.

& congrats again to you and your brio baby.
