red is a non metallic color
some H! dealers have followed the old gay route of maruti and charging extra for metallic colors which i find pretty lame.

for me i always wanted red so never bothered about metallic / non metallic.

wrt seat covers etc , its better to get them installed as after market since the dealers keep a hefty margin. None of these are genuine Honda items, the dealers procure themselves and sell at a huge margin. This was told to me by a service engineer.

being from delhi and having driven through severe winters, i never had issues with the rear window getting fogged /condensation so i find this new feature a waste. H! should have worked out a rear wiper which i feel is a necessity in monsoons and incase you find yours on semi built highways/flyovers. Seat adjustment is a nice addition i must add.

i would be completing one year in July and have started receiving sms from H! for the service. I like these guys the way they pamper you and keep reminding you to take out time for the service.

and its better to negotiate with them for the insurance. Do not try saving a few bucks here and there, its better to stick with them for atleast the initial 2 years when your car is under warranty. I have extended warranty for 3 more years ( 5 years in total) so everything is covered.

p.s i finally crossed 4000 kms yesterday [glasses]

hahaha marketing !!!![evil]
yeah i am looking to have a seat cover installed somewhere in the market, not at the dealers place. I feel rear defogger might be a little helpfull ( if not the most), based on the feedback given to the honda company by the brio users.

I am 6.1 in height so i may just find the seat adjuster all rusted up here [roll]

Cheers nitin. good points though. Guess it would be pretty helpfull man

Guys a small help.. Will it have any effect if I plan to change my tyres from 175/65 R14 to 175/85 R14 directly after taking the delivery ?? Will it have any effect on the mileage ?? I guess it will, but then, how much will it effect during the break-in ?? and after it too ?? Please advice :suspect:

Just for a wider and a better road grip bro. Should I change or not by the way? the dealer had told me that was upto me and the tyre size will not matter much as it will a new tyre

you will face warranty issues if something goes wrong with suspensions etc, better check with H!

on a side note, many people get chromes fitted and all, so i dont see that to be an issue. just ensure that the tyres dont touch the body coz of the low stance of Brio. This cud be an issue with speed breakers.

Guess that will be a wrong option to upgrade the tyre size then compromising on the mileage. Thanks for that input nitin.

yeah manish, since its my first car now. Have planned some additions but this bangalore market prices are making me re-think on my budget [frustration][evil]

Tyre upsize is somthing that i would suggest for Brio, i completed 9.5kms yesterday and often felt the ride was lil bumpy when i went to hogenekall falls (Daramapuri i think).

Other option is to make the suspension "soft", brio has hard suspension- FYI [frustration]
but that will lead to mileage drop of about 1.5km/litre.
