yes, honda does not offer this. matches the color of my seat covers perfectly.

seems same, yes you need to screw the bottom base to fit it. i would suggest you go to a car accessory shop as they would fit it also. This way you can haggle on the price also. Buying from ebay makes no sense.

I got same fixed in my car from an accessories shop. Costed 1K including fitting. No point in getting from ebay @ 1k and pay extra for fittings :).

Enjoying my ride with the brio smt since last 20 days. Just a few things I would like the valued members to shed some light on.

1. The gear change seems to be too hard, specially going from 1st to 2nd. From 2nd to 3rd to 4th is comparatively smooth.

2. the rear wheels do not have a plastic/rubber covers attached to the body on the front side interior. though the rear side has a mudflap. I don't know whether I have been able to express myself. Checked with the dealership. they say its like that from Honda. Even saw the other cars standing in the display, none had it. This causes apart from the dirt sticking to the body of the car, lot of noise when the car runs on small stone lying/concrete on the road.

3. Does a day or two before/later than the service due date effect the warranty

1) this is a known issue and will become better after 1st service. major difference they say you will feel after 5k kms.

2) agree loose gravel makes sound initially while driving , but i have not faced noise in long run. Also i would suggest you can try the under body coating to reduce the Noise.

3) on or before the due date is always better. dont take a risk by exceeding the due date for which you may repent later and curse yourself. I have read horror stories that a weeks delay is enough for these car dealers to void your warranty.

Hi Rikku,
Gr8 to hear you enjoying the Brio. Which model did you take .Please post some details on the pricing and all. Let me also share my experience with Brio.
1. Gear: Had to consult nitin and akidd on this. Its not only hard but at times so notchy that it does not go into the groove. Specially with the shift b/w 2nd and 3rd gear. Backgear is also notchy. At times you end up accelerating the car while gear does not change ending with a sound from the gear box.
Also 1 month from ownership and 500k no improvement as per now.

2. Yes the Brio does not have mud flap. Please get it fitted from outside .It costed me 200/- for 4 of them

3. Please do not miss on the service date .Get it a day earlier I say. Honda offers a pick and drop facility as well with no extra cost. But if want some touch up for some of the scratches that you managed, better go personally and get it done.

i just called them to book me for the 2nd ( 6 months) service, they offered to pick it for me at a cost of Rs 200/250 odd. so what you say is not correct.

the tentative bill the SE quoted me was 1450 or so since labor is free in 2nd service.

he confirmed - oil, filter and one more part needs to be changed. On inquiring on the oil, he asked me how many kms; has my Brio done. Since i have only done 2600 odd kms, he told me to opt for normal oil only and not waste $$ on synthetic oil. he told me synthetic oil lasts for 10k kms but since my running is less and anyways the service interval is 5000kms, normal oil will be apt for my car.

rest details and experience i will post after my visit tomorrow.

My car is hardly 65 days old, and i have already touched 3k. [:d] my daily driving is about 62kms i think.

So, wts this synthetic oil thing? how does it differ from the normal engine oil?
