Thanks Darkid,

Please explain R.D ( sorry I am not familiar with this)

1. What experience do you have parking using ORVM'S?
2. type of Car cover do you recommend? I can get an idea by the price you suggest .I have seen from 500/- to 2200/-
3. Have you got rear and side protectors? Are they worth? I seldom get to park my car in tight areas but still.
4. What FE do you manage from Brio
Thanks in advance
Hi Praveen.
Pls find the answers to ur Queries.

1. What experience do you have parking using ORVM'S?
Rite OVRM is very good and so is IVRM, but i think the Left RVM is useless.
I cant see anything on the left side , and that is y i may go 4 parking sensors

2. type of Car cover do you recommend? I can get an idea by the price you suggest .I have seen from 500/- to 2200/. Any aftermarket shud be fine, u get aftermarket covrs for hatchback at 900 to 1000rs.
H! stupidly charges 1.6k :(, which is impractical

3. Have you got rear and side protectors? Are they worth? I seldom get to park my car in tight areas but still- I am planing to get the rear protector after my hike :). Bang bike drivers are rash and they always overtake u from ur left [anger]

however, i dont need side protectors, since i dont vertical park.
U can get I-pop sides at 350 RS (not sure if its body painted)
H! accessories being costly, side door protector will set u back 2k i think?

4.FE in brio? bang traffic being horrible, i get about 13k.
In rush hour traffic, it went down to 11.5kms/litre [cry]

I have taken it once on bang airport, and it gave me 19.2kms/litre.
I do NOT use Ac, since bang is cold

5.Please explain R.D ( sorry I am not familiar with this)

RD stands for rajatdeep das, an reputed accessory brand in india. Also , they are based outta delhi, so it must be easy for u to get in contact
Automobile Accessories, Car Accessories India, RD, RD brand car accessories, Nano Car, Maruti Car, Mahindra Car, Honda Car, GM Car, Alto Car, Skoda Car, Tata Car, Hyundai Car, Toyota, Reverse Parking Sensors, Power Windows, Auto Window Closers, Car C

u also have something redsoul, for which there are very good reviews.
I generally tend to buy from Indian dealers like RD RS etc, since thy pay income tax. :)

I tend to avoid Autocop n Xenos, since they really contribute nothing to the economy [;)]

Getting it from outside is a much better option as
1. u have more varierities.
2. cost is significantly lower.

4.5k just for sensors from H! is very expensive. I d suggest going for aftermarket like R.D ( i c that ur from delhi).

also, why u need front sensors? they are very annoying and start beeping as soon go near some1's bumper.

Delhi has better roads, and i think the traffic is much much better than bang.

i would advise goin 4 Reverse RPS from an after market fitter like REdsoul, autocop or R.D

Bangalore traffic must be really bad to get A FE of 11-13 KMPL. Thanks for the information though.
I had a trip to Agra and did a full tank review of FE for which I got 20 KMPL .I think its great. Thanks also to the amazing expessway. I was with 6 people on board. No problems at all (n 2 of them are quite lean though)

Best of all the driving was very comfortable. I too am planning for rel protectors as i have managed 2 scratches both at back sides [frustration]

yes, the agra E-way i have heard is very nice, its a 6 way lane i think.
I have never taken the car above 80.

i think we must get 22km/litre easy with no issues.
Did u have AC turned on? What blower speed ur ursing?

Yup the e way is 6 lanes bt in this long stretch there's no petrol pump, car mechanic or even any shop.
Had to intermittently use AC for 6 people on board[;)]. Blower 2 was fine and maintained it on 1. Gave effective cooling .On returning though it was very cold and had to use Ac with heater. I too havnt taken the car above 80KMPL.Though Eway was very tempting [;)]

for these after market electrical accessories you gotta be careful since one split of wire and your electrical warranty goes null. I wont dissuade anyone from getting accessories installed from outside since you save a lot on M!, but your choice of mechanic matters a lot. saving a few bucks here and there can become too costly in the long run coz of one foolish mechanic.

Could not agree with you more Nitin .Your posts have been of more help than even you think throughout my decision of getting Brio.
About accessories I agree totally. Get it only from a reputed shop.

Has somebody changed their headlites? i m not satisifed with the stock h4 bulbs, since i drive almost 60kms a day.

I am palnning to upgrade to the 100/90 philips extreme vision bulbs, they reliance auto zone guy has assured that there will no electrical warranty cuts.'
he told me that the 60/55W bulbs for phlips/Osram are as good as useless, and its better to go with 100/90

Thoughts?

i would not recommend 100/90 without a relay. as previously posted in this thread, i faced issues with the horn when i upgraded them.

if you want to upgrade, do add a relay or else go for
100% Original Philips Extreme X-treme Vision Car Headlight Bulbs Bulb H4 60/55W | eBay

or

100% Original Osram Night Breaker Plus Headlight Bulbs Bulb H4 | eBay

Hello Bro,

Try Magnum Honda. They gave me the reverse parking sensor at around 3k (initially they quoted 3.2). The other two dealers Whitefield Honda and Dakshin were quoting 5k

That's a nice initiative, but i guess most of the other automakers are following the same concept nowadays.
I find the interval of 6 months too less for a car as refined as Brio. And my travelling is not much. I would not have even crossed 3000 kms.
Money making tactics i must say.

that's still expensive, IMHO.
I already spoke to the magnum Honda guys :Srini and some other accessory guys.

If you add another 5oo bucs/1k, you will easily get a dash board mount LCD that has distance measurement as well as sensors(that beep)
