Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

hi nitin
im getting smt for 4.87 is it good deal?no freebies as of now even i asked him to give me at 4.75 without any freebies.
today also i took a test drive for 3rd.time & i found few issues mentioned below:
1)whenever i switch off the engine i found some clatter noise or you can say i feeling some vibrations along with some unusual sound direct from the engine.i test drove 2 different vehicles & both behave the same.do you also feel the same?
2)in the afternoon i have to set fan speed to 3 to feel the ac is on.
3)my lap touches the steering whenever i enter or exit from car,i have discussed this issue with you before also but do you think that it can be a deal breaker for this model.

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

just paid the last installment of my 5.85 lacs, it came to 55k on my credit card.

al set 4 delivery during dsusshera :P)
congrats , not much time left now :)

Hey nitin,
Was on a short trip to Airport yesterday, and was crusing around 100KMPH, know what with all glasses completely rolled up, still i am getting the noise inside(sound because of air i believe). I have checked the air pressure before the start, and they are as recomended (F/R - 29/26). Is this is because of missing wheel cladding? or something else?
hmm, seems one of your windows was slightly down since the hiss sound comes when air gushes in. do make sure all your windows are fully up before u test this again.

try visiting other dealers as well. shrads get over tonite and now people are gonna renew their stopped purchases and these dealers are trying to cash in now. I wud suggest you wait till month end and then go in for the deal.

1) what was the mileage of the TD vehicle you drove, I do no think any H! dealer will allow such a vehicle to be used as a TD leave aside let people drive it!!!! did you try asking them about this noise?
2) the glass area is huge, we discussed this before also.
3) ingress and egress will take time since the seats are lower as compared to the i10 and other hatches u drove.

I somehow forgot to ask to dealer for that engine off accelearation noise.

Also do you feel ritz k series DOHC engine is superior to honda's ivetc SOHC engine?DOHC is advanced technology as far as i understood.

let me share an interesting even that happened a month back, I wanted to check the cabin noise and shut off the music system. i cud hear a gsssssssssssh kinda noise, i was in traffic and thot it might be coming from outside, pressed the accelerator and zoomed ahead, the same same sound kept coming for about 2 kms. I was damn worried! the noise kept coming , i looked back, drew all the power windows up and down and no respite from that noise.

Then i looked at the music system. by mistake i had pressed the AM radio and the noise was coming from the speakers. I shut the system off and there was pin drop silence. I simply adore my Brio :)

i vtec wins hands down! we are talking about 88 PS @ 6000 rpm vs 80 PS@ 6000 rpm. And do not forget the same engine is fitted in jazz as well.

The most regular problem in Maruti cars including Ritz is high level of NVH since some components are loosely fitted in dashboard. anyways Ritz is an awesome car and if you wanna buy it, Maruti A.S.S will never fails you. Also you will get more resale value as compared to Brio anytime.

lol,yes nitin nvh levels of brio have no comparision with ritz atleast.

ritz face-lifted vxi is very pricey not worth it as it comes without any discounts, otr comes at 525.235. (without music system & remote key lock)

now i have make up my mind with brio, most probably i will book smt tomorrow.

thanks.

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

wasted the entire day today in getting the high security registration plates fitted in my brio. My center was at Tagore garden, woke up to news about the traffic police drive starting tomorrow and a Rs 2000 fine. Left for Tagore garden at 10.30 am and after asking for directions finally reached the shop.

Then the ordeal started. It was crowded like hell with people fighting and jostling for attention. By the time my number plate came out, it was already 1.45 pm and lunch ! they took back the number plate and asked us to wait till 2.30pm. The shutters finally opened at 2.40pm and by 3 pm i was done.

moral of the story -
do not wait for the last moment
carry a tent and your own beer so that others start envying you :p;
if people around you get angry and start abusing them, be ready to add 30 minutes to your lead time.
have quintals of patience.
curse yourself for living in delhi.

all this effort for 2 number plates and this sticker [embarass]

What head lights does Brio have? H4 55/60?
Is it a single bulb like Esteem or has different bulbs for low and high beam?

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

Nitin my heart says urban titanium.what you suggest white or copper brown?

car will be park in open area all the time.

My concerns are dents scratches and dust.

Is it going to be fade by time due to open sky.

I think its little dark,it may difficult for other car drivers to see this car in night specially in highways, any this kind of visibility issues as per you?

is it required high maintenance compare to white?please share your views.

Thanks.

I don't think the color will fade, even it is in open sky, long gone are those days.

Earlier i have this issue in finalizing the color, please see the the answer given by nitin.

dents scratches and dust, these are clearly visible in white compared to copper brown.

Re: 5 Days Epic Saga - My Honda Brio SMT Rallye Red

Nitin,
my car is ready for the first service tomorrow, do we have any special check points for this?
the SE have a checklist and will do everything accordingly. nothing much is done except normal oil checking and washing/cleaning.

What head lights does Brio have? H4 55/60?
Is it a single bulb like Esteem or has different bulbs for low and high beam?
sorry mate, i never bothered to check them. anyways the light throw is good.

lol, stop being paranoid and remember all cars become dirty and everyone drives at night and that is why we have head lights, seems you are googling a lot and non issues are more prominent in your mind. people will post anything on the net.

Further, you are talking about H! quality, color fading etc do not happen with Honda.

buy any color which you and your family prefer. I wanted red so i purchased red.

p.s among white and UT, go for UT, i personally do not like white. but then as colors preferences are personal in nature and very subjective.
