Hi All,

Just completed 500 kms in my Brio. 300 kms on highway and 200 kms in the city.
Checked the Mileage. Its 16.4 kmpl. Filled the tank after getting the delivery and filled the tank again to check the mileage.
Mileage shown by the Speedometer Console is 17.5
I guess this sort of difference is Normal ???

Yes, I have read this on other forums that the meter shows about 10% higher than the actuals.

Honda SA offered ins+10K on SMT and ins+20K on S(O)MT alongwith body cover and mattings. What they offered you?

Same is offered to me aswell but I am pushing for more.
Have to take delivery on 19th Oct.

Congrats with the BRIO! I just love the design & planning to get 1 thiss month. However, mine being a small city we got only 1 Honda dealer n this dude is hardly offering any discounts on SMT. They are just offering free ins + 5K i guess and quote came to 5.05L. Do you guys thinks its coo? and if I had to bargain how far should I be pusshing on and on what things (without sounding cheap). Also please suggest on the seat covers? I am not looking for top class/high end covers but will appreciate VFM. Shall I go for the ones offered by Honda and also please let me know the price.

you shd be able to get more discount + freebees if you try hard. carry some cash and say you will do booking now if you give the best deal. play smart :)

seat covers you can buy from outside too and save a few bucks. If you do not like the ones from outside, you can always get them installed from honda whenever u visit them next.

Thanks for that nitin, I have a disadvantage of not being in my native. I live in Blore and I am planning this for my parents. So I talk on the phone & this seems not to instil any confidence :( I am feeling so stupid right now after knowing people getting so many offers and I am left with none :(

you need to push for more. and Sachin is right. 10k shd be minimum cash discount + other freebees thrown in. Where are your parents based. 2 or more dealers in the same city always helps as there is healthy competition. I would suggest you to plan a visit to your native around month end. Thats the bext time to extract more from the sales guys/dealers coz they are trying hard to meet targets.

In sudeep roy's thread a guy from kolkata got 2 years free maintenance which is a first I heard from Honda. Its a different matter all together that the ex showroom price is 10k more than in delhi and H! did not give a 10k cash discount but he got 2 yrs extended warranty free + other freebees. In short it all boils down to how desperate the dealers are and how good you are at bargaining.

Hey Nitin,

Sadly the place where my parents are based has only 1 Honda Dealer (Vishakapatnam) and hence they no competition. But let's see, I have been talking to them from long. Hope they come back 1 day and I get decent discounts.

Magnum Honda guy told there is no gear lock, wt d Frock?

it seems door mats, car cover will be free.
I have pushed hard and he agreed to give Side door prootector free

No anti-rust coat however, and i have to get in done in Feb (not hot like Delhi or chenai here )

Hey nitin,
Was on a short trip to Airport yesterday, and was crusing around 100KMPH, know what with all glasses completely rolled up, still i am getting the noise inside(sound because of air i believe). I have checked the air pressure before the start, and they are as recomended (F/R - 29/26). Is this is because of missing wheel cladding? or something else?
