No it wont as this was done at friends authorised service station for Hyundai so if there would be to look out he would be taking care of it all.

4.2 k for air filter i guess it cost less than 250 rupees for the normal ones.

and did you buy this from the service center and is this stock replacement or performance ?

Its a stock replacement and well yet to pay for the filters as we are under checkings for the difference this filter makes compared to stock ones, if so would continue with the same or else return this and get back the stock ones back.
Yes but then its worth the difference you find in city drives and low speed low ration scenarios.Its costly yes i know compared to stock filters but also along you get a life long warranty and not filter replacement as we keep doin on stocks.
Lets see how it works out in few days.

FE update

so after first thousand kms of running, with first service completed and adding K&N on my i, today with tank full calculation got the i gulping 13kmpl with 100% city driven with ac, not bad i say if it keeps giving and its yet just 1.5k driven so far.
Another update is that a kid in my block missed her balance from her cycle and made a dent on the left rear upper fender between left passenger glass and rear glass right between there, with lill of paint chirping too.

How much this K&N filter makes a difference ?? if that is so good then why the manufacturers are providing such filters as stock on the cars

Well till now for some few hundreds of kms driven so far with this new air filters, few things i observed are,
low speed low ratio those vibrations are not felt and car can take over without changing the gears.
Overall there is a change in the way car pickups as it used to before, seems easy and lighter now then old stocks
On complete slow down instead of knocking down and engine stops it gives time to slot up, i mean tried on second gear with complete foot off and it was still moving rather then knocks and shut, i hope am able to make you understand this difference buddy.
Well as far as keeping it as OEM product the main reason is the costing and overall stocks so why would any car company like to do that, every single penny saved is earned buddy, and does every car owner really cares to see this difference as most of the cars sold runs out complete life cycle from stock filters replacements right.

I agree with you on that filter choice, but my Ritz does the same though not fitted with K &N like you have explained in your post, it just keep going in 2nd gear or any other gear without knocking until unless I press the brake

Guys, back with some updates after a long time.
Car is running butter smooth without any complains or issues.Clocked 5400kms till now.
Since last few days i am hearing some noise from the a/c fan blowers, seems something has sticked inside kind of noise, its not too much but its not that quite as used to be.
No changes in the cooling but air flow seems lesser a bit then before and noise it is making now,
What do i need to check before taking it to ASS, and what it could be? any inputs

2nd Service update

Ownership of my tillted H was coming near to one year.
Got a call regarding the renewal of insurance policy along with second service due.Though havent clocked miles and still had a month left for it, but i am having guests all this month and also i am travelling so thought to get it done yesterday along with renewal of policy.
Took the appointment for wednesday morning 10am and reached there on time.Mine was the 5th car taken since morning along with new grand, one santro one fluidic and one i20.
Didnt had any complaints with regular checkups and gear slot from second to third and reverse, was feeling little more hard on those slots.
Also got the tyres rotated along with engine oil changed
Got the car delivered by 12.30 with everything checked, washed, polished, greased.
Before delivery the SA checked up all the doors, hinges and made them greased.
Overall bill came to 919/- for engine oil and filter assy oil with taxes.
will post some pictures i have on cell phone as i was out for some work with a business client.
I am happy with overall ownership and servicing from hyundai.
FE is around 13 kmpl to 14kmpl.
