@ Sagar Bhai, Thanks for liking. I have Bridgestone tyres in the left and Ceat tyres in the right. So, I have different markings. I have changed all the locks except the ignition lock. I'll change the ign lock soon. I'll post the exterior pics soon.

@ Varun Bhai, Thanks for liking. Yes it was done with brush. I know I have done mistake using primer. Next time I'll use rubber seal.

After polishing my car I checked beneath the car for any underbody rust. The primer that I had applied was fine and there were no signs of rust but the rear wheel well was showing some signs of rust. So I decided to paint it.
I must say the wheels are looking really nice with that red ring. Reps for the wonderful idea. Could never imagine when i had no alloys on my alto? BTW how about painting the silver part to black.

Fantastic work on the wheel rims. Also the painting for the wheel well etc will prevent rust for some months atleast. Please be careful when you are working below the car (with only jack supporting one of the ends) try placing the removed wheel/ some big wood or stone below rear axle. I can understand how tough it is to do all that sleeping under the car. Adding reps [:)]

Thanks for liking Akash and Anand Bhai.

I too was thinking of painting the rims in black. But very less portion of rim is seen through the hub caps so I dropped the idea of painting it to back. I haven't seen the inner portion of the rims yet. Hope its in proper condition. When I'll change the tyres I'll surely paint the rims in black.

Yes, its very risky to work under the car. I'll soon try to source a pair of tripod stands. From next time I'll keep something under the axle.

Today again I was stopped by the cops due to the fog lights. [anger] I was not fined, as I had a small LED strip and fixed it in one's bike. They told me to fix it in such a way so that the lamps can't be seen from far. They told that according to the law only 1 pair of fog light is permitted, that too is to be kept covered when not in use. I was willing to make hidden lights, but due to my exams this DIY is postponed. But I am not willing to remove the lamps. I'll change the position of the lamps. [;)]

Please tell me which setup is looking good.

I'll surely remove the fog lights from the indicator's place and make the front indicators more bright.

Dear all please give your valuable inputs.

Few days ago I got the front wheel bearings changed. On the same day when I took my car for alignment, the mechanic found that the left wheel was moving tightly. I went back to the garage and found that the brake pads were sticking to the discs and got heated up. The mechanic did some minor adjustments and said that the pads were ok. Yesterday I went to market with my dad and on the way back crossed 90 and applied the brake many a times. The brakes were fine and were not jammed. I touched the brake pads and disks to check, both left and right discs and pads had same temperature, but no burning smell.

Today while driving the car, I noticed that the car was moving towards the left if I leave the steering wheel. A burning smell was also felt and the left brake pad and disc were more hot as compared to the right one. I took it to the mechanic but he said the brakes are fine. But I feel that something is wrong with the front left brake. I jacked up the car and found that the left wheel is harder to rotate a compared to the right one. The mechanic said that the left wheel is always harder to rotate as it is near the gear box and has a shorter differential as compared to right one. IS IT SO ??

Tomorrow morning I'll check the brakes myself and if required I'll change the pads. Please suggest which brake pad should I use.

Hi Shantanu.lko, what your mechanic has said is correct. Right wheel always rotates bit free than the left one.

Check for the clearance, bleed the brake pipes. Just remove the brake pads sand them and grease the caliper.

Please let us know if you are braking is the car dragging to one side ?

Shantanu, thanks for the last post (I too dint know that left wheel is tighter than right wheel, till I read it here).

I feel having slightly bigger fog lamps with 50W bulbs fixed near the indicators (as low as possible) will look good & do a real good job. Are these fogs really lighting up the road? I mean why fix so many lights when one big pair can do a better job. Just sharing my opinion, because those lamps in picture above look too small.

But the left wheel is rotating tightly as compared to my friend's M800.

Its too cold and foggy here. I'll soon check the brakes and adjust the brake-pad gaps (Just waiting for a sunny day) [;)]

Please let us know if you are braking is the car dragging to one side ?
Yes the car is dragging to the left; even if I am not braking. The brake pads are surely touching the disc.
Shantanu, thanks for the last post (I too dint know that left wheel is tighter than right wheel, till I read it here).
I too was unaware of it until I got my bearings changed. Special thanks to Varun Sir for clarifying about it.

I too was thinking about upgrading the fog lamps.

Are these fogs really lighting up the road? I mean why fix so many lights when one big pair can do a better job.
Yes, these lights light up the road properly. On a normal evening(without fog) the fog light pair is sufficient to light up the road (without headlamps). Autowalas here use singles of these lamps as headlight and the light is sufficient.
Just sharing my opinion, because those lamps in picture above look too small.
The rectangle lights in the indicator's place will be surely removed and the indicator will be there in stock condition. The present fog light is 3.14" and the white ones are 4.3" all with 55W halonix bulbs

Will the fog lights look good here :

Don't use two different types of tires on the same axle.It will lead to increased wear on all the relative components not to mention the ride quality will be totally compromised.

I'll replace the indicators soon as the old ones are not properly visible from a distance.
