Yes.. I've stock ICE in my car.

IMO, the reason its looking green is might be due to the blue shade of blue LED's under dash.

Not sure about it though.

But if you see the ICE snap on Page 2 and post#20, which I've clicked in daytime, prior fixing of blue LEd's, it shows Amber colour. [thinking]

AC is perfectly Fine... Touchwood

IMO, New gen Wagon R AC is the best in the segment.

Its giving 8 degree centigrade output as per test at Maruti ASC Camp as output from blower.

Initially when I tested this, I was not sure about these results, as I didn't got that cool cabin temperature throughout 400+ kms drive with AC on all time.

But when I analysed the conditions of the drive, I found out that conditions were extreme with direct sun on front windshield without any sunfilms and outside temperature was above 42+.

In Mumbai, its giving shivering experience even on blower speed 2.

To make it short, I am fully satisfied with AC of my Waggie.

My opinion is, just check the gas and top it up if needed and clean up the HVAC system from FNG.

If you follow this, there is no reason that your waggie won't give you the good AC effect.


PS: My practice is, I never run car w/o AC any time. But whenever I start the engine, I turn on AC on blower speed 4 with all windows rolled down for couple of minutes to get out hot/humidised/accumulated air from cabin and then roll up the windows with blower speed 1-2.

Yes that's the right way to get chilled cabin in less time.

I am attaching picture of our vehicles. We have first generation WagonR. It is doing the perfect job. But driving with AC is a disaster (my experience). It will not pull. If more than three adults with little luggage, driving is not comfortable. But, the other guy (in the picture) is awesome.

First gen Wagon R is having F10D engine and which is also good when it comes to power. (I've read ownership review of a member at some other forum who has clocked above 2 lacks+ kms on his first gen Wagon R and completely satisfied with it).

New gen Wagon R is having K10 engine, and my experience is very good with it.

But this is the fact that with AC on and with fully loaded luggage & 4 adults onboard, sometimes I also feel that engine is out breath and sluggish. But in normal conditions, with 2 persons onboard with little luggage, I find its very good.

This year's 1st AMC Service update:

Washing & Interior Polishing

Tall Boy shining well & performing well as well...

Yesterday got a call from MASS regarding feedback of this service, where I've an AMC and got all services done here.

Conversation goes like this:

MASS Feedback person: Sir, Hows car performing after service ?

Me: Perfectly fine mam but have some other issues.

MASS Feedback person: What is it Sir ?

Me: Regarding service, all is well but I've a problem to report that your computer data entry operator entered wrong KMs in the invoice and it is 20 k kms more and I had noticed this and reported to SA at the same moment.

MASS Feedback person: Not a problem Sir, it will be corrected in next service. So will you (not would you like to) give 10/10 points for service ?

Me: No mam, My ratings go as 7.

MASS Feedback person: (now voice became buttery) No offence at all)! Sir, 7 is completely negative.

Me: May be ! But this is my ratings for feedback and you can't influence it. And I am rating this not only considering this service but my overall experiences.

MASS Feedback person: But Sir, this is completely negative feedback !

Me: What can I do mam this is my feedback and thats it.

MASS Feedback person: (Sadly) OK sir.


Now, when I reported this 20 K + wrong entry is service record to SA, he said as invoice is printed and payment is done, there is nothing much I can do. For doing so I need to take formal permission from Maruti System and it will be corrected in next service.

That's a long and boring experience.

Just wanted to share with you.

What's your call this guys ? Had you ever been gone through this kind of experience ? Will it be corrected in their system ? As little I got to know from fellow customers there that it can't be changed once it is done. The reason why I am so concerned is I just want to maintain clean and clear service history of my car so that if in future I will sell out, there shall not be any issue.

I use the vehicle for the city traffic. No complaints till date. Only pulling power issue while on AC with four persons. Another issue noted is about gear lever. It troubles co-passengers. Slotting to second gear also little tricky. Advantage is that we can park the vehicle anywhere. Diving is also peppy.

I can.. I can.. Mine is CNG one which comes with no stock ICE. I initially thought of putting up stock set to have original dashboard looks. But As I was waiting for my car to get ready for delivery I thought of checking out other ICE options and that's when I hit upon my Pioneer ICE and was blown away by its offering and sound quality and immediately took it.

Among other things.. I can set 15 or may be more different colors for my ICE and so I never get bored of them

Both cost me around 8.5K.

And yes, it produces significantly premium quality experience w.r.t. stock speaker.

Random FE check this weekend after driving around 450 km:

Method: Tankful to Tankful with auto cut-off at same fuel station.

FE: 18.25 kmpl

Usage: 40% city driving BTB traffic + 60% highway driving.

AC: On full time with blower speed between 2-4.

Loading: 4 adults + 2 kids on-board with some luggage.

Result : 19.13 kmpl

AC on full time with 30% city driving & 70% highway driving.

Loading: 4 Adults + 2 kids with minor luggage.

I am very much happy with the performance..
