Nice mods, I personally liked the alloys.

Regarding your number plate. Post #51, IMO the #plate is looking too small on the huge front grill. Is that size an acceptable one by RTO?
I am planning to change my # plates as well.
Thanks. Cops saw it couple of times and i was not stopped. so i guess that size is fine. [:)]

you got cheated with a fake xenon. these are blue halogen bulbs and have worse output than regular bulbs.

a True hid bulb needs ballast and are 3 times as efficient as halogens.
I inquired, these are not the HID , these are regular bulbs. Today i have installed HID which costed me around 4500 and they took back those lights for the same amount for which it was purchased.

you May have to open it and press from inside. try hair dryer to make the lens soft and press it to original form.
I got the lens both both the tail light , i paid around 2k for the same from hyundai.

I feel the stock lenses are looking much better than black ones.
Yup even i felt the same. When i went to service center those people told this is the first time they are seeing a dent in a tail light and then they checked if the bulbs connections are fine and everything was good. Hope this one doesn't melt [:D]

I have tested the Hid on fog lights, its giving good clarity now. The tail light lens (the area where the brake light is there) is getting heated up quite soon. Can anyone check that in their i10 and let me know if its the same.

it's the heat due to incandescent bulbs. lenses get up to 50 or 60.c I think. still good enough. try changing to led bulbs. however please ensure they offer legal lumens and your car light is visible in fog and rain.

They have only LED white light with them, is there a particular type of bulb that i should ask them ? like any particular brand or something and how will i make sure those lights are visible in fig and rain while buying ?

I think white bulbs will appear red under red lenses, no? we might need a trial here. for the bulb carry your sample and buy the same socket. if possible look for COB type or high power led types. strictly stay away from 5mm and 3mm leds.

Help me. Today I started my car after office and everything was fine. I have kept my fog lights on. After sometime the window glass automatically got closed and then I observed the fog lights have switched off and then I tried switching on the ac even that was not working. The 12 v charger is also not working. What could be the reason ?

Dear Friend,

It seems to be an issue of fuses blown due to fog lights installation.

Please check the fuses and replace it.

Also check the fog lights installation with your trusted mechanic.

I hope he has not put fogs on original harness. the hid install requires relay and separate wiring to ease off current from factory wiring.

I don't think he has put separate wiring. I have posted the pic of the kit which they used in few posts back. they have used only those, no separate wiring kit. What needs to be done now?
AC, Fog lights, 12v charger, power windows all have separate fuse rite. so all those fuses are blown out?

hid kit works in a different way than regular Bulbs. the ballast let's out a huge pulse of voltage about 5000 volts to ignite a spark inside quartz capsule (bulge inside the lamp ). this system can cause huge startup currents and fluctuations across your common wiring. as a result only separate wiring is required for hid.

Actually when they installed projectors directly only low beam was working so they have put wiring kit which costed me 1500, so again i should tell them to put wiring kit for fog lights also. or is it something different ?
