Glad to know that the mods I have done are of interest to you. Let me know incase I can be of any help with any of the mods.
Hi AG

Taking cue from you and Chetak, am planning on the following for my PS:
a) Cruise Control
b) LED DRLs, same as Chetak - seems to be promising given they fit existing setups.
c) DashCam - Have finally ordered one from AliExpress, my first such order. Lets see how it turns out.

I am interested in seeing how you got some of the light settings changed - in particular, the short push on indicator stalk to get a lane change indicator. How much of a big deal is it, whats the time/effort/knowledge needed for the people to do it? Please share any details.

If possible, do PM me your contact details, would be good to be in touch through other channels as well. Thanks!

That's the best part about these switchback DRL. You can read my short review of the product here. I was unable to find the right power wire after Ignition and ended-up using a small circuit instead to sense the Ignition but Chetak has done it in the right way. By adding my circuit, I added a 30 seconds delay and now these DRL's act as 'Follow me home' lights by remaining ON for 30 seconds after the ignition has been turned-off.

Which dashcam have you ordered? Do share the results once installed.

The customizations as listed in this post were done using the MUT-III scan tool during service. Finding the customization option in the PC software shouldn't be an issue for the service center people.

Chetak Update: -

Chetak's rear brake pads were replaced today at 35000km. I had purchased them outside and had them replaced. The OE brake pads lasted 35k km which to me is not bad. The old brake pads had some 500km worth of life left in them but I didnt want to push them to the limit since they could have damaged the brake disc otherwise.

Also, against the recommendation, I did NOT skim the brake disc. I will observe their performance and only if I feel brake judder or unsatisfactory performance, I will have the disc looked into.

Further, Chetak saw his first suspension bush being replaced today. The lower end bush of the RHS link rod had split and had to be replaced. The bush kit was not in stock so a "jugaad" a.k.a a Cedia bush "Made in Japan" was fitted instead. I have ordered a bush kit from my supplier just in case.

Here are a couple of pictures of the bush.

This also proves that A.G. is right. These bushes are prone to premature wear due to their positioning on the link rod. I spoke to the technician but was told that this is a known issue and he doesn't have a remedy to it.

This bush was already on my radar as since the very start, the bushes of both sides were eccentric to a side.

Gents, whats your opinion of these angel eye rings
Fitting them would entail the opening of the OEM headlight assembly and resealing it. Any issues or a slight mismatch/breakage of a plastic lock/fastener would result in dust and moisture seeping into it resulting in either bad performance and/or premature wear and tear. I will not install it.
Headlight assemblies are not meant to be opened and refitted.

It is disheartening that a known issue has no solution. Just checked the bushes and it seems that now the Rear Left bush would also need a replacement soon due to the crack it has developed [frustration].

Fourth Service Experience and issues in between:

The Fourth Service was done at 29,654 Kms in December 2015. The total bill came to Rs. 12,836/-. I am still not satisfied with the Ride and Handling and this is my only grouse since this service.

The body roll is far more pronounced than before and even after corrections done during a later visit (Link) which pacified the issue to some extent, the issue has not gone completely and is back to noticeable levels. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Headlight fogging issue:
The front right headlight started fogging in September 2015 with some water droplets visible inside the unit. Surprisingly, the bulbs upgrade to NBU and the swap to switchback DRL was made months ago after which the unit had sustained heavy rains without any issues. The light was removed and thoroughly inspected for any crack or seal malfunction but nothing was found. Still, water had somehow found it’s path inside the light. I personally suspect water to have been ingested from the seals surrounding the bulbs during engine bay washing for cleaning an oil spill mark at the service as the seals flex with the slightest pressure.

Fortunately there was no damage to the light or the reflector and the same was cleaned and dried thoroughly before refitting.

Rattles and noises:
An irritating noise started coming from the rear right side. On opening the inner panel of the Rear Right door, a chain was found inside it. I am still in disbelief how it entered the door panel.

Another rattling noise from the air filter inlet was observed between 1500 to 2000 RPM. This was solved by using 2 tie-wraps to hold prevent the inlet from rattling.

Chetak Update: -

Chetak is back from a 3000km work trip to Madhya Pradesh and back. Here are the details:

Left Bangalore at 2230hrs IST on Friday and reached Nagpur at 1230hrs IST on Saturday. Had lunch at one of my favorite Saoji restaurants near the RBI chowk. Nagpur has begun to get hot already. Met the new Nagpur dealer at the dealership, which is huge compared to most Mitsubishi dealerships. Showed them the cruise control and a few other modifications that they were interested in, on Chetak.

Left Nagpur at 1700hrs IST and reached Mocha village at 2130hrs IST.
Left Mocha at 2200hrs IST, got stuck in a 40 min traffic jam at the MP-MH border near Khwasa due to silly truck parking, took a short nap in Chetak near Nirmal and reached a member's farm house at Hyderabad at 1230hrs IST on Sunday. Had a slow, lovely lunch of home made mutton keema, biriyani, Telangana style rasam and chapatis with him, his son and our Hyderabad POCIN member Francis K Paton and his friend. Enjoyed the lovely company, took a couple of photos and left Hyderabad around 1700hrs IST to reach Bangalore at 2200hrs IST.

Road Condition: - BLR-Hyd is good as always. 4 laned and tolled.
HYD-NGP is good for the most part, a few bad patches continue near Pandharkawda and Hinganaghat but they have been patched up so apart from the diversions, the road is good. Nagpur-Seoni is again a mixed bag. Nagpur-Adni is great, 4 laned and tolled, however from there on, there are mixed patches of road work, 4 laning and potholes. The Seoni bypass is in bad shape (has been like this for the past 3-4 years). After the bypass, the road to Chirai dongri and onwards to Mocha is a 2 lane but an excellent state highway.

FE Update: -
Since I had limited time at my disposal (had to complete the trip over the weekend), I maintained 120kmph on 4 laners and as a result, got 10.02kmpl overall.

Issues: -
Chetak squeals like a pig in trouble every time I hit the brakes. I will h-a-v-e to get the rear brake pads checked asap now.
Chetak also blew an eye on his right (low beam Osram NBU) somewhere on the way to Seoni from Nagpur and night driving was a pain thereafter. I didn't want to replace the it with any other bulb so replaced it after I reached Bangalore today. I know NUBs have a shorter lifespan but the ones on Hariya (My Scorpio CRDe) lasted much longer.

Here is a photo of the Hyderabad Pajeros Chetak shook hands with.

Hi guys - need some advice and a reality check.
I'd got my PS last Oct - 2012 CBU unit, 30 k on the clock. Have fitted a cruise control since which is working great. Just got her serviced last week at 40k.
Changed the rear linkage bushes that AG mentioned since the left rear one looked cracked and worn. Got charged @ Rs. 977 + VAT for each. Does that sound right?

Then I saw an item labelled "Carburettor Spray" for Rs. 450 + VAT on the bill.
Carburettor spray for a diesel engine? Am I missing something, or am I being conned?

The price for the bushes is fine. The carburettor spray seems to be a wrong name for the product used. Ask the ASC what it was and that should clarify it.

Am looking for a HUD (Heads up Display),
I installed one which I got from aliexpress (Link) but the problem was size - it could not be installed in the space besides the cluster bezel on the dashboard. Finally had to mount it on top of the music system which was not a useful placement and removed the same. Also, readings had latency of almost a second.

Do confirm the size from Roger Motors and check the space for placement before buying.

Thanks for the prompt response, buddy. What are the questions to ask RogerMotors - ie, size of the unit itself, what all is the info it can display, anything else?

Also how tough/easy is this to install?
