Thanks Buddy.

I am trying for side protector, painted with silver color instead of mats & mud guards as I am planning to buy 3D mats.

Side protectors: You need to decide. Personally I don't like side protector on polo, they spoil the looks, even if they are of same color as of car.
Mats: Yes get the 3D mats, I am planning for them soon.
Mud flaps: The inner portions of your car may get dirty really fast if you won't use them. So you will need to give extra wash to those areas. My suggestion would be to get them from dealer. So you need to negotiate with them.

Your model (comfort) doesn't have USB/Aux connection with stereo right?

Yes, it does not have USB/AUX. This is one of the area I think Volkswagen should look into very seriously. However there are USB devices in the market that will connect with the FM radio at a predefined frequency, starting with 500/-.

Yes, I know about the USB devices but they don't give good sound quality.
Have you asked the dealer if he can install the highline stereo in your CL.
Any reason apart from budget for not going for highline?

Nopes.

I already negotiable a lot from the dealer and I don't think that he will do anything now!!!

I was asking side protector + mats and he denied. but I will check the difference in the price for changing to highline stereo and if it is not much, I will opt for that.

Yea I know its really a pain to negotiate with dealers.
Check the difference in price of stereos and also see whether it can be fit into comfortline because the wiring are different. In the new highline model, there is a USB wiring which goes inside glove box, but the same provision is not there in comfortline.

Re: Polo meets an accident

Something sad to write.
My Polo met with an accident few days back on Tuesday. It was my fault as I was trying to squeeze between two cars, and misjudged the speed of an alto running ahead and Bang!!
More details will be shared when I get the car back tomorrow.

Posting a pic as of now:
I feel extremely pained to see your Polo in that injured state. Hope she returns back to her beautiful self soon.

I got my polo around two weeks back. The repair and denting work was done very well and no problems in claiming etc whatsoever.

But, I am experiencing a difference in steering feel these days. As my left tyre and alloys took a mild hit during accident, I am suspecting some damage there, although not sure. I will be visiting the workshop soon to get it checked.

I will post the details of accident an work done soon.

Maybe you should also get the Wheel Alignment done.
Hope it is not severe!

Yes get the wheel alignment done again. Even the balancing for the left tyre. Might have taken a hit as well. Do post the after repair pics of your Polo. How much did you have to shell out from your pocket for the repairs?

The total cost was around 18k out of which I paid 2200 and rest under insurance.

@jihu and GM88,
Wheel alignment and balancing has been done(the workshop guys say so!), but still steering feels very light now. This is really not an alignment balancing problem it seems. Let's see, I am reaching workshop on saturday, and will explain them everything. I will post how I met with the accident, its an interesting story!

Is that right? 18k sounds a bit on the higher side considering the damage as evident from the pic you posted. I once had to get my SANTRO bonnet repaired/repainted and it cost me around 17k. Or is it that the pic you posted does not show the full extent of the dent/damage?

Yes you guessed it right. There were few dents on both left side doors. The fender repair was for around 9k and rest denting painting for another 9k. Will post the pic of bill too, soon.

Good to know that you had to shell out only 2200rupees from your pocket. Pretty decent in my opinion. Get the alignment and balancing checked again in front of you as these workshop people are lazy enough to just do it for name sake. But steering becomes a tad heavy when your alignment is not in place while your saying its become lighter now. Get it checked again with the workshop!
