@Rightnow- I have a question around the steering of the POLO. While driving on empty stretches, to check the car's stability I take my hands off the steering for 2-3 seconds. I used to do so with my SANTRO, and it never drifted either way and maintained its path. However, when I tried doing the same with the new POLO, on 4th/5th gear at speeds >60 km/h, I noticed the car drifting towards the left. I had to reapply the pressure on the steering so as to keep moving straight. Is that normal for a new car? I have APOLLO Accelre R15 alloy wheels as the stock on my car.

Regarding a warranty of the car, is dealer/Volkswagen giving some kind of document mentioning the details of the warranty?

When I asked my dealer he told me that there is no separate document related to warranty. However I am not satisfied with his answer. If there is any warranty document, request you to upload the scanned copy so that I can take this matter further.

Wheel Alignment can solve the problem. But however, its not normal for a new car. New cars come Wheel Aligned. Have you changed tyre or anything? If not, call up the VW & tell them about it. Make sure you don't pay anything since its a new car! Ask them to do it for free.

I have same spec tyres and alloys on polo but never felt this left pulling in my car. Normally roads are bent towards left which may cause left pulling, so try it on a flatter surface.
This problem is reported by many polo owners as per reviews over internet. You car is new so I don't think there should be problem of wheel alignment unless there was a major hit on wheels or alloys.
Contact the workshop as early as possible and take it to workshop.

There is not warranty booklet provided at time of purchase. For first two years under warranty, your car's VIN no. of chassis no. is sufficient to verify that its under warranty. A separate booklet is issued in case of extended warranty which you purchase to extend the warranty for another two years.
As of now, you don't need to worry about the warranty booklet.
One query: Does any manufacturer provide warranty booklet for car? Have you come across such thing for other cars?

It could be a case of tyre pressure as well, as some other people have suggested. What is the recommended pressure value for POLO with R15 tyres?

Yes, tyre pressure impacts the ride for even a difference of 1 psi.
Below are tyre pressure recommendations form VW:

29 psi: for all 4 tyres in case of single occupant and no luggage
32 psi: for all 4 tyres in case of 4-5 occupants and heavy luggage

As per my experience, a pressure of 30-31 suffices in most of the situations and in this way you can be assured that you not deviating much from recommended pressures. I keep 30 psi mostly because I drive alone most of times.

at 29 psi you will feel smooth ride, less bumpy, low FE and high tyre noise.
at 32 psi (if singly driven with no luggage) you will feel bit bumpy ride, less trye noise, high FE.

So, you can keep the air pressure at 30 psi in all four tyres and check whether there is any left pulling. Try it as soon as possible.

I agree with Rightnow, i initially kept 32psi of tyre pressure in my Polo but now days i lowered them to 30psi which resulted in more planted and comfortable ride with 32psi ride is little bumpy if you drive alone.

Something to update:

Got chrome lining on the front on bonnet (like on vento)
This chrome strip is not that thick like vento, but it looks good. Bit subtle.
Ordered this strip from ebay and easy to paste.

This is from front:

Also notice the black carbon fibre eyelids on the head lights. They look just okay and don't enhance the looks much.

More experience on ride to come. Btw I have done more than 12000 Kms within 8 months[drive]
Hi ,

Could you please share me the link and details?

Hey! I think the problem has resolved on its own. It's as if once the rubber got enough miles under its belt it has gotten used to the road. I am still keeping a tab on it, just in case the problem resurfaces.
Btw, does the POLO highline come with automatic rain sensors? I noticed and array of sensors on the windshield on the outside, bang opposite the rear view mirror. Can anybody confirm?

P.S.- 300 kms done! Still waiting for my BT device to arrive at the showroom. Will give an in-depth review then![:)]
