What's the best clutch setting, having moderate play distance or little play,i have heard that more play is better than little play ,is it true?
Yes, more play is better, it saves clutch plate, when there is more play there will be good enough distance between flywheel and clutch plate so no chances of plate rubbing to flywheel when clutch plate engages and disengages. Releaser bearing will travel short distance to engage or disengage clutch plate so it rotates less and this promotes its life.

@akmalazim more play will not give a hard time in b2b traffic , more play will give you easy shifting, clutch will start engage or disengage from a low distance from the floor. But too much more play gives you clutch shudder.

In case of less play you need more clutch pedal travel to engage or disengage. But if very less ply clutch plate will stick to flywheel when you engage or disengage and leads to premature failure.

It was the reason manufacturers specify free pedal travel range to adjust and suit to ones own preference.

Mr.Suryaputhra

I have setted the clutch play set that it has 1-2 settings left, isn't that right.
I felt gears are slotting perfectly, i have 3 bite positions-
1.Full deppressed
2.Half clutch + Slight movement
3.Released fully

Is this right?

Actually i have felt vice versa

Case- Clutch in less play

In B2B traffic, vehicle control difficult, clutch will be in constant work(Load from foot),press ,depress.

Case- More play

Less load on clutch ,as clutch engage and disengage in medium way.

New cars (I drive Verna occasionally),it has hydraulic ,play is variable according to drive.
The play sets in as per driver's driving style.
Disadvantages- In high traffic conditions ,over heating can cause burnt clutch and clutch can be jammed.

More play means less travel legs will work less.

Less play means more travel legs have to work lot.

Pls read I have told the same thing.
