Its done about 8k km. Its balanced & alighed, atleast at the front. Guess no one aligns the rear?
Mine is mostly a city car, though some roads in Mumbai right now are more akin the lunar surface. Today with 32psi, the back was more comfortable. Will try 31psi in the rear next week

This,I am posting for my friend who owns a swift VDI.The vehicle was 2012 model and had run near to 40,000 Kms. Some days back, the car didn't start and after some time it started and the next day morning it didn't start at all.The verdict was starter motor had gone kaput and needs replacement. It costed him around 6000 INR as the car was out of warranty. There was not even a word about repairing. I was surprised,as the last time this happened with my Alto in 2010,they repaired it and the total cost was 600 Rs including labour charges. My query is how common is starter motor malfunction in Swift VDI and is repair impossible?

The MASS charge a higher rate compared to FNG for all normal jobs. Also, MASS has a replace policy rather than a repair one. I would suggest that you ask our friend to check the battery to while he is at it. I recently changed mine post which my car starts at half a crank. A weak battery puts too much strain on the starter motor.
This might be the first time I have heard of a 3 year car's starter motor being replaced. But its depends on individual scenarios. Might be your friends daily drive require frequent start stops. But its just speculation. Also, AC, Stereo, Headlight etc. when switched on before starting the car also puts additional load on the starter.

I agree 100% to what you said. Even my doubt was about the year of the car itself. The car was registered in November 2012.By July 2015, the starter motor is gone. His driving style and distance is very sedate.May be four times in a day he have to crank the car. [surprise] by the quality.

Respected members I wish to know if it is true ?

On DDiS Engine - When MASS replace the Coolant they provide 2+ liter of coolant and rest of Distilled water in the coolant tank - Is this correct ?

According to Manual the DDiS (Ritz) needs 5.9 liter of coolant when emptying the tank...

Coolant is not no be put in directly but mixed with water. I believe, depending on the make of the coolant, the mix is anywhere between 2:1 to 4:1. So if they put in 2l of coolant and 4 l of water, thats in the range

I have a small graze at the wheel fender level and my driver side OVRM housing is cracked. Don't know when it happened because I didn't hit it myself. May be my driver did it when he was out to pick up mu mom or may be it happened in parking but no one will say.

Anyway, the OVRM cover was ajar, so I squeezed it and it clicked back in place. The lock is broken though (i.e. it rotates beyond the open position) indicating it has been pulled forward by a neighbouring car or truck. But since neither is a immediate issues, I wont mend. The graze is a concern though because it may damage the paint in due course. Its very light, you can see it till you go up close. And my car has Teflon coating. Should I go at it with some polishing compound or just let it be and hope it lightens with the daily wash?

I will post later. Mostly I will leave as is.
I have another issues though- I have Polk marine rated speakers in the front and Infinity speakers in the rear. All are fitted in the door. However, the polk speaker in the driver side door keeps getting water damaged. I never drive with the window down and never leave the door open for more than a few moments in the rain. Still, water seems to be flooding into the speaker. The remaining speakers dont seem to be getting affected by water, whether it is getting in through the door or the window felt lining. What is the issue and how can I resolve it?

No Vishnu, thats not the case. That panel has been off and on several times. Previously, I had an issue with the installer not doing a good job with the speaker installation, so in October, I had removed the door panel atleast 3 times. Then the speaker was not working about a month back, so I got it fixed only 10-15 days back and now it back not working again. Even if I was to use silicon sealent around the door panel, wouldnt water still get down through the felt lining of the window glass? Also, how come its not affecting the other speakers?
