yes dhaya agree, but then their position of this new dzire was to cater againt indigo cs which is more roomier and more boot space compared to dzire.I guess this would cater buyers who want a hatchback with a bit more boot might opt for this dzire, but then this is from maruti stable to again might see looooong wait list then;-)

What i am reading in reviews is , the new Dzire is actually more comfortable than before and ride quality inside city has improved tremendously.


Dzire against Indigo CS? Does Indigo CS even sell? I hardly see them on road. Does it have the wait list like Dzire? I think the old Dzire trumped Indigo CS easily and has created an impact already. Even if the new Dzire is bad than Indigo CS i think it will be difficult changing the herd mentality now!

An innovative ad I must say.

Now i quiet like the looks of dzire.But quiet disappointed with the boot but the price is quite low.

I think this is surely a good move from MSIL but they should pass on all the excise benefit to customer.

New Dzire looks better than it's old sibling but new boot space is a show spoiler, i hope this model will keep the same volumes and perform better.

Seeing all the ads i feel Maruti is annoyed about its boot space on the new dzire,not a mention anywhere including these tv reviews,shows how well maruti can control things.

At the launch pics they show a pretty girl instead of an open boot [:)]

The problem is Jazz is not available in diesel. I am sure over 70% of dzire buyers will opt for diesel.

The current dzire is not available for us. Inquired this with My Car & CiL Pune.

+1. Those who don't like notch-back, will now be disappointed. Either they cancel the booking or opt for Manza or if they want MSIL, add some money & go for SX4. But I think not even 5% will opt for SX4 in this case.

The Zdi Dzire costs Rs.7.09L, ex-Delhi. This makes it more expensive that Manza Aura ABS [frustration].

Does anyone has pricing for Dzire Vdi & its specs ?

Some pricing details-

Ldi - 5.80L,
Vdi - 6.31L,
ZDi - 7.09L.

Across all the variants, the new Dzire is cheaper by 25-30k.

@ S Class I did not compare Jazz and Dzire. I just told the boot of Jazz itself is bigger for comparison sake and to show how small the boot of new Dzire.

Maruti has done a better job on tail lamps but I’m thoroughly disappointed with side view. In simple words, it looks horrible. Couldn’t they have revised the looks and interiors rather than doing this chop-job. Dzire was also doing well earlier.

Well the highlight of this car over the hatch back swift is its boot obviously & that is what everyone wants to see,i guess they want more customers to turn up at the showrooms to have a look(most Families have a sudden urge to buy a car when they pop up even for a glance),but i am guessing the geometry of this boot must make it more user friendly over the hatchback.So looking at the litres can be misleading,i feel the i20 boot is one of the most user friendly also.

My point too. I do not understand this cheap mentality and its intended spread by Maruti. Just to make a car meet certain tax-saving standards they have defeated the sole purpose of a sedan. I mean what do you call this vehicle. Is it a new category coming up now? Notchbacks?

It was fine till there was only Tata Indigo, now Dzire too! Horrible.

I know that interiors, boot, overall package has been bumped up a little but the whole point of this perplexes me. A boot which is somewhere near 300Ltrs, and has such a high loading point. This is perfect example of a big local car maker playing to the tune of market sensibility, i.e. 'owning a sedan, when you actually you do not need one!' They could have taken a lead and brought out something which does justice to a 3-box design.

People may still say that there is a full fledged sedan in SX4. Alas, automobile design in India has taken a great leap!!!
