How come Manza is catagorised along with Jazz and Punto.

Customers looking for a better interior can opt for notch back and those who want the original Dezire and don't care about the dull interior can opt the same.

As I am a prospective buyer and Love Punto 1.3, Jazz but also looking into Manza safire ABS 90 and this Dzire 2012 ZXI as all there will came to 7 L on road in Bangalore(after discount).

Though I donot like Tata and maruti as brand but now feeling interest on these too.

So the question is which will give me a long term good service.

New dzire is good for purchase because it saves sales tax. because it's length is 4 meter.

Pricing is pretty competitive as before. I find the new Dzire to be even more bad looking than before. New Dzire is looking more like a notchback now.

New Dzire is actually a notchback now as also stated in their spec sheet. Just like Indigo CS.

Existing Swift Dezire became beautiful after seeing this picture.

Ok i went through the whole thread & checked out some video on youtube,why the hell are they not showing how much space is there in the boot is it not the point of this Notch back????????

Hmm!!! a wired strategy

Existing swift Dzire against Indigo CS and this cut down Dzire to position against Manza.

No I don't think so.

It will be suicidal for the Swift brand and Maruti Suzuki

- Current Swift Dezire cannot take on the Indigo CS in Taxi segment. It cannot attain the ride quality and comfort of an Indigo and can't take abuses and beatings.

Taxi segment cannot be won by After Sales Service, Coffee/Tea and Balloons.

And what will happen to Swift brand ?
Most propective customers of Vista avoid that car just because of Indica Cab image.

Then last but not the least.

Can this notch back alone take on the Manza?

Currently the existing Swift Dzire is the segment leader and Maruti Suzuki will not like to touch that.

Yes you are right at 316 litres its smaller than Jazz 366 litres

this would sell as well along with long wait list but one thing i am questning is that while old swift bookings were transferred to new swift which had better premium interiors, rear seats foldable which was boon, but this current swift dzire bookings would get transfer to this as well with lesser boot space then swift, main reason people book dzire over swift is to get that additional boot space which was quite big in previous version.This version is like a xover between hatch and midsize sedans like dzire,manza and logan.

What i liked was even the fifth spare was full size and alloy in top end which no other car in this category provides.

@ Autosafari I read in Autocar's review also that the current Dzire will only be offered in taxi segment in stripped down variants , i think we can believe Autocar's words right? And also they mentioned all current Dzire bookings will be transferred to the new model.


@ Vijay Exactly that's what even i was thinking. One of the reasons for Dzire's success is for the nice boot space it offered. I don't know how many people are going to adjust with the much smaller boot. But what good this does for Maruti is , people who are looking for boot space will now start looking at SX4 which lived under Dzire's shadow so far. But this new Dzire's interiors atleast looks premium to Swift's interiors if not feels.
