Yeah it is important, cause it is an underbody anti-rust protection, but not necessary..i have checked some threads of 3M,done on a civic and new cars, which is excellently done.
It is in packages of 2/3 years and 5 years, from varying cost of approx 3k to 5k.It actaully depends on the thickness.Check 3M site for more details
On my first service MSS has recommended to have under body coating for my Ertiga and I obliged for that. MSS has billed me Rs.2200 for this coating. It was a thick rubberized coat covering entire under body including wheel wells, except the exhaust silencer body which gets too hot due to which this coating may melt down. I recommend to go for this coating as it also helps in dampening the under body sounds to a great extent, in addition to protection from corrosion.

Thanks for The Information, was actually not knowing this thing.will think of it,sooner before monsoon. What do impressed me about 3M was type of detailing and care, the have checkups done at regular interval, takes appropriate care, and give warranty of it.
Yup dampning might do the work.

Today asked a tyre shop personal to cost to swap my MRF 185 tyre with 195 set michilin, bridgestone.
Old per tyre purchase price:3200
new tyre price :4700

what additional i didn't want to pay,was 1500rs per Tyre.[frustration]
[frustration]
changed my plan will stick to stock tyres.

Hi Everyone,

Just completed 2nd Service on Ertiga VDI.
- No Oil change done. I Found the colour of oil was dark hence when inquired about same with the service advisor, he said the diesel Engine oils are usually dark in colour and nothing to worry an also no need to change the oil now. Oil change is done after 10,000 kms.
- Washing the car and other checkups done.
- Got the A/c air filter installed for Rs. 1490/-
- Not sure if this service will really increase the fuel efficiency.

- Planning to fit center arm rest.
- Also can anyone guide if floor lamination is good as heard during monsoon the moisture might get inbetween the carpet and lamination and spoil the show.

Overall good experience sofar with Ertiga. Have done 5,500 Kms. Last long drive got F/e of 18.9Kms with A/c ON throughout.

Drive safe !! Happy Driving !!

Why was it that A/C filter is not part of standard fitment in Ertiga? At least in top end model it should have been there. I came to know about this recently on my ZDI as I made assess to the filter position which is at the back of the dashboard shelf.

I got my Ertiga ZDI/with Alloys delivered in October 2012, and A/C filter was a standard fitment in the car. The Service Advisor at the Service center was of opinion that A/C filter isn't part of standard fitment, so he opened the Glove-box and found that my car had factory fitted A/C filter in it.

Why did they charge you 1490 for the AC filter?
i had got mine fixed for Rs 300 only 2 weeks back.

And god.. how do you even manage to get 19km/L?
I am only getting and average of 13.5km/ltr and have clocked 1100kms and done with 1st service too

2) centre Armrest with same pu leather cover and also solving the purpose of storage for Cigs, Lighters etc..

4) Door Wooden panelling with leather inserts for a plush feeling
Hi caasberi,

You Ertiga looks great. I re-booked mine after cancelling from 1 dealer. Same Color- Granite Grey.
Have some queries though :

Central Armrest : the dealer was saying the user will have a problem is handling the handbrakes, since not easily accessible ? What is your experience ?

Door Wooden paneling : How much did it cost you and from where you got it done ? I assume somewhere in NCR region.
Is the paneling only for doors or dashboard, Music system, AC vents etc as well ?

Two days back I went to Autofin at Bowenpally and got inserted the AC filter for Rs.350. On inquiring the sales person there, he informed of this AC filter being not a standard fitment in all models of Ertiga and needs to be purchased as an accessory[surprise]

Hi rohit,
central armrest is of a no problem at all & doesnt interfere with handbrake at all, it is just the matter of which one you buy & how you get it installed. Just go for it, it is a great thing to get installed as it will increase your comfort levels & you will have one more compartment for storage also. Just buy the sliding one in beige color which will match ertiga's interiors very well.

Hi cruiser,
Where did you get the armrest from? Is it a MGA or bought it from accessory store?
