Now I fear that I've installed the dark film (65%). But got the certificate and sticker from the dealer, I hope they'll help in case of any problem. :P
I affected Dzire's sale by 1 unit!
Btw, wait for 1-2 months. Its a new car and most of the Indians believe that one should not buy a brand new car in the market, they see its initial sales first.
Got Llumar silver sunfilm installed in 2500 (discounted rate acc. to him) from an unauthorised shop.
Its little dark than what is allowed.
After sunfilm's installation, I pointed out 3-4 small scratches/lines and air bubbles, and he was like "YE AAM FILM SE MOTI FILM HAI, ISKO 1-2 DIN SOOKHNE ME LAGENGE,AUR ITNA TO CHALTA HAI..."
Now I can't point it out, whether those air bubbles will go or not in few days. :
Even I read some online news regarding the same, but I can't find anything that specifies Whether we can't use sunfilm at all or We can,but in permissible limits(same as of now).
I didn't read about the same in any newspaper too!
Strange.
from what I have read it is for z black films or above the permissible limits. You can continue to use films with 70% and 40-50% Visibility for front/rear windscreen and side windows respectively.
Since I m unable to edit my above message I would like to add that as per SC ruling
Now this is not good....
First of all, what all those will do who have this business, they know nothing other than tinting glasses.
And I just spent 2500 bucks for a sunfilm just for a week!
WoW!
From which date this rule will be applicable nationally?
Btw, car just completed 550kms on odo and its giving me an average of 15kmpl in city with a/c. I hope it will increase after 1st service.

Yes,even my neighbour was caught yesterday but Rs 500 bribe worked for him and he himself removed sunfilm in 2-3 minutes in front of me from the whole car.
I'll search it in the owner's manual. But I thing company fitted tinted glasses of any darkness/shade are allowed. So no need to worry.
Btw, Ertiga's company tints are not even 5% dark. :P
No need to take tension bro.
