Any updates on waiting period of Ertiga ZDI in Hyderabad? We are thinking to get Ertiga ZDI in Early 2013 as a replacement for Swift VDI 2010,which had done 73,000 Km in almost 3 Years. If we get Ertiga,we would mod those following things,

1.Race Dynamics Dieseltronics Tuning Box for more power.
2.K&N Air Filter for extra power.
3.Tires will be changed to 195/60 Profile.
4.ICE for more boom boom.

I hope that it is also useful for present Ertiga owners.

Dear all,
Is anyone else facing the following problems which i am facing in my ertiga
1) Middle row seat shoulder lever malfunction
2) head rests of middle and last row are not comfortable(one has to keep neck forward for resting head on them) and the rods are not in alighnment with one another when fully withdrawn
3) MGA side beading has smaller double tape therefore the front part of the beading does not sticks with the body and same is the situation with rear bumber protectors

if any one has encountered similar problems or has solutions to these`then please let me know,
prem

Dear starpp,
I wish to have wooden finish as in your car. could you please tell me the details about it. specially the front part on the dash
thanks ,
prem
I haven't encountered any of your problems but I'll try to answer your queries.
1. I didn't get your point? You mean that seat lever malfunction?

2. You can pull those restraints up and adjust according to your requirements. I think right now it's in its lowest setting. Just pull it up.

3. I don't have side beading, so can't comment.

You can get that wooden garnish on your car from your dealer. It is MGA at all dealerships. They also have aluminium garnish.

This is outside Coimbatore, on the way to Karunya university. No intention of removing those films, till now no trouble. [glasses]

Hello Mahesh,

If you purchase the Roof Rail, can you please let me know the price and seller name? i would like to buy and get it in Bangalore. I could not find anyone selling here :-(

Hi Guys, took the delivery of the car :-), here some of the ZDi Granite Grey pictures. You can see the Tyre upgraded to 205/60/ R15 Yokohama A-Drive, still seat covers(Black and Beige combi) and few more accessories need to be fit, lack of stock at my dealer :-(. Planned to do separately.

I am buying the attached DVD Player suitable for Ertiga online and going to fit next month. This one is suitable for Swift new model too. ($230)
Hi
I am wating for the delivery of Ertica ZDi, I am thinking of Upsizing the tyre to 205/60/15 Yokohama, As you have upgraded your vehicle, Let me know the how it effects the milage and does the rear tyre touches the body on full load and over experience of drive.

Please advise if we can go for broader tyres over the 185/65R15 stock tyres that come with Maruti Ertiga. We are awaiting delivery of ZDI, and would like to know if 195 or 205 would be a safe fit with stock alloys.

Hello Everyone,

I got the delivery of my FireBrick Vdi Ertiga on Thursday evening. I had initially planned for Red Zdi but going by waiting period and recent Manesar issue, my dealer offered me Red Vdi and I accepted.

Modifications done:

Exchanged the vdi music system with Pioneer 2490BT - amazing sound (no change of speaker ...)
Added Reverse Camera to the same system
Ordered single color art leather seat covers - fitment planned for Sunday Morning..

A/C in 2nd row is amazing - in just couple of mins it cools the cabin..
Hi
Where did you get your vdi system exchanged and what is the exchange price

Thanks ertigadiesel,
Welcome to the forum.
There is a lever on both sides of the middle row which you can slide down and release for getting into third row seats. This lever had stopped working in my car. I have got it rectified at service centre.actually there is a wire which had come out of its place. They have placed one permanent clipped and they say this problem won't happen again. In their words"sir Iske liye hamne permanent jugad kar diya".
Regarding head restraints (except for front seats) they are not comfortable even if withdrawn.

To check for upgrade within permissible limits, check out this site:

Siremull Hirachand's Tyrestore - A Generation ahead in Tyre Service

Enter the width and profile of your tyre and the site will show the recommended upgrade.

Hi Subash, there wont be any impact of mileage if you upgrade your tyres within the limit. please use tyre upsize calculator on internet. as per the calculator u will get 0.67km/ltr less if you go for 205. I have been getting 14.5 to 15.5km/ltr in city (Bangalore) and 19.1/ltr in highways. People who has concern about 205, 195 is best choice for you. in 195 also u will see better tracking, grip and smoothness on road for your Ertiga for sure. There is no doubt about it. FYI: i have not had any experience of you said and i am checking the alignment for every service to keep it perfect all the time. (i will do this on regular basis)

Hi Starpp
Thanks for your advise, Please let me know which Tyre shall i go with 195/60/15 which is -1.05% as Tyre calculator, wherein the Tyre side wall is -3.25 mm less. The ground clearance is reduced to 6.5 mm (185.00-6.5 = 178.5 mm) or 195/65/15 Which is +2.09% as per Tyre calculator, wherein the Tyre side wall is +6.5 mm more. The ground clearance increases to 13 mm, (185.00+13= 198 mm).

We have the 195/65/15 Yoko A Drives on our Ertiga ZDi. Completed 6800kms without any issues. The increased ground clearance is 185+6.5= 191mm, helpful as well.[:)]
