We are sailing in the same boat. Not seen a single Beige, Brown or Grey Ertiga. Not even on any of the TV show or online reviews. [frustration]
Sunny8899, your car looks good in Silver.

I was confused between red (1st priority) and grey(2nd) ,we booked color option as red/grey on 15th April. On 18th I wrote an application to dealer for final color as Grey. I believe I should get it by Sep[;)]

This is my first post here and first things first. My Congrats to all Ertiga owners and those decided to purchase. [clap]

Today i took the test ride of ertiga here in Mohali and booked it today itself [:)] it's a great car or LUV.

my question to the owners is:

1) With how many free services does it come..what will be the OIL ETC. charges DURING these free service's.

2)What is this super turbo thing that sales people tell about ertiga's diesel engine, what about simple turbo engines that used to come earlier.

3)Is Maruti's diesel engine Spare parts less costly when compared with others like fiat/tata etc taking into consideration that they all sport the same engine now-a-days

4)What is the cost for taking 1 and 2 years additional warranty.

thanks in advance and please help

Welcome and thanks dude! [:)]
They use Super Turbo word for the extra powered engine i.e. 90hp that powers Ertiga other than same 75hp engine that powers Dzire, Swift and Ritz. They use Super turbo for the extra 15hp that this engine produces and and this engine's performance itself satisfies this word used for it.
Extended warranty for 3 years is for around 6.5K and there is also an option for 5 years warranty.
You can find spare parts of any Maruti's vehicle anywhere in India at lower price as compared to other brands, but Tata's gives a tough competition to maruti, but spare parts for expensive cars will be expensive itself. Don't expect spares of Ertiga to be same as of Alto. :P
There are 3 free services and Oil's cost is extra, as they charged me 430 for diesel additive in the 1st service.
Nice to see that someone near to my home is here!
Did you book at Berkeley?

@Sunny- Nice pics! Car is looking gr8!
Nice decision to take the car asap as waiting period is going upto 8 months now!

Thanks a lot Saby for the quick reply.

I loved this car the moment i saw it for the first time.

I booked it @ CHITTOSHO MOTORS its very near from my house.

The waiting period for ERTIGA LDi is 1 to 5 months and since i will be driving the car all alone almost all the time, i didn't feel the need for rear cooling, power windows etc and save some money[;)], infact i admire the engine more than the features, earlier i was thinking to buy new swift but changed my mind to ERTIGA.

One more thing that i forgot to ask , what's the FE figure you are getting after your first service with AC OFF.

Thanks once again.

Hi Ertiga Owners, I have been following Saby's post and the subsequent threads. I had booked a Swift Dzire VDI in February 2012 at Pratham motors, Queens Road, Bangalore and during March, when talks were going on about the launch of the Ertiga, mailed my dealer to convert my booking to ertiga the moment it was open and sure enough, on 20 April, my Sales guy gave me a call saying that I have been allotted an Ertiga, Serene Blue VDI in the first lot. Rushing through a SBI loan process, I got my Ertiga Delivered on 02 May 2012 and the car is WOW. Drove about 200 km in Bangalore mainly between my Home and Global Village which is about 24 Km each way. Went on a family trip with family ie 5 adults to Chittoor-Kanchi-Chennai- Mahabalipuram- Pondy-via Tiruvanamalai- Bangalore. First round of refuelling with a combination of city and highway driving got an average of 15.91 with AC on and off and 2nd round 16.22 through out using AC. Without Sun control film, the AC was effective however, you could feel the distinct scorching of the sun. Whenever we got out of the car, specs were clouded immediately.
Since we took out the car without getting used to or settling the seating positions or angles, i felt that the driver side head rest was irritating, my hip downwards i was able to adjust the distance etc, however, when I gave good lumbar support angle, the headrest was touching the back of my head, due to which, involuntarily I was leaning a bit forward above the neck, resulting in a neck ache. My passengers in the 2nd row also couldn't get the angle right and removed the head rest to become comfortable.
We have Etios GD, Rapid and Vento cars with my friends in the office, even compared with a swift VDI, the ertiga's engine was very quiet. The noise was a wee bit over my Maruti Alto. Like Saby mentioned, I needed getting used to the Turbo boost at 2000rpm.
My opinion- A fantastic product by Maruti, value for money.

On the accessories front, other than the standard accessories provided by the Dealer, I haven't put any other fitting. I do find a few pictures of parking sensor with camera etc, how much they cost and what brands?
I got towel material seat covers made temporarily till the Ertiga seat covers are available in the market. Plan to have steering grip and up modules fr the windows fitted, but my Dealer has asked me to wait for some time as the costs are now a bit high and standardised products are not available.

Hi Saby. Congrats to you and other owners of Ertiga. I have been following this thread ever since you started it. I am one of those who booked the Ertiga on 12th April and still waiting for the car. I opted for the petrol top end (and I thought being petrol I should get it in max one months time. but still waiting [frustration]). Within one week of booking got a call from the dealer saying that White ZXI was readily available, but I did not want to opt for anything other than the serene blue. As per all dealers here in chennai, the waiting for ZXI is twelve months. Since my wait continues - I have been visiting various forums including this one and trying to gather as much information on user experience as possible.
I am someone who changes cars regularly, not because of any issues with them. In the last six years - I have changed two and once the Ertiga arrives, I will give away my third one. Now this fact (my inclination to change cars frequently) was one of the factors which tilted the scale in favour of the choice of Petrol Ertiga. The other reasons being less daily useage (avergae less than 10 kms per day) less highway usage (average of about 750 kms every two to three months) and the significant difference in price of petrol and diesel models. The choice of petrol to many of my friends and relatives was a surprising one as I presently have a diesel sedan which has been with me since mid 2009. But I have taken the decision to go with the Petrol Ertiga and that too of a new and unknown 1.4 L engine and I am going to stick to it. So lets see. But from what I read in an ownership reveiw in another forum - the Petrol mileage is decent.
Will update as an when I get delivery of my Ertiga.
