1st Service done today-
Diesel Additive added for 430
Somehow they convinced me to go for Underbody coating -1350
But I didn't go for teflon coating, they were trying to convince me for that too. :P

They themself pointed out that driver's side door handle was loose and corrected it and greased all the doors.

Total cost(inc. taxes)- 2K

Service experience was good, I was watching the car from the waiting room throughout the service, it took 2 hours in total.
I noticed that the average fuel economy increased from 13.5 to 16 in 10kms drive and as usual, there was no sound of engine while driving unlike Innova.
Geting art leather seat covers (beige) installed soon for 5.5K, company fitted seat covers are also of good quality.

Compared to Swift/Dzire, you won't find initial pickup like them due to short gear ratios for first 3 gears but you won't even feel lack of it.
On an empty road, within no time you'll be driving in the 4th gear.
NVH levels in Ertiga are less than of Swift.
If you want to overtake everyone on the road, just go beyond 2000rpm and it becomes a racer's car just like the Swift.

According to the Dealer, Waiting period for Zdi-Serene Blue is >8 months now.
There are much more bookings of Zdi than Vdi/Ldi for Ertiga, which they also didn't expect, may be coz of small price difference in Vdi and Zdi.
It will be interesting to see Ertiga's sales figures this month, or infact their production capacity's figures. [;)]

Thanks Ertiga ZMR.
I have upgraded from a Swift VDi. Was looking for a suitable vehicle for some time. Was not particularly interested in a sedan; Innova and XUV were too big (plus the waiting period). I have followed the Ertiga since the Auto Expo in Jan. From the initial pictures it looked like 3rd row would not be useable, however the AutoCar coverage of the Expo cleared that doubt. Read all the reviews from the media test drive in late March and this seemed like the ideal vehicle for me - 2 kids aged between 5-10, parents/in-laws/relatives visiting occasionally...
... Also, may need to remove the sun film based on the SC ruling. I plan to get seat covers, once the current ones get dirty. Don't feel the need for anything else.
Nice to read a positive initial review. Please start a new ownership experience thread along with few pics of your car.

Thanks Ertiga ZMR.

...Not bought too many accessories - Floor mats (free from dealer), Rear parking sensor, sun film and teflon, underbody coating. Reading some of the posts here, I guess the coating was a waste. Also, may need to remove the sun film based on the SC ruling. I plan to get seat covers, once the current ones get dirty. Don't feel the need for anything else.
Hi Vishy123 Welcome to TAI, Congrats for your Ertiga can you please Start a separate ownership thread, with pictures? That would be great!

Hi Vishy123 Welcome to TAI, Congrats for your Ertiga can you please Start a separate ownership thread, with pictures? That would be great!
Is a new thread neeed? Wouldn't adding ownership reviews in one thread, for the same car, make it easier for members to read through? I am new to the forum.
Will post photos on the weekend.

Ownership Thread slot is for posting your own car's review and queries relating to your car only no matter it's the same car[;)], go ahead create one!

I don't think one can compare a hatchback with an muv, weight diff is about 800kgs, almost double of the swift.
I've clocked 790 km's and today my car completes its one month of ownership. :)

Hey!
Congrats!! [:)]
But can get it replaced with a good head unit, you can sell it for 7K, in the market.

Yes, even I've never touched the stereo buttons even once, steering mounted buttons does everything! [:)]

I'll be getting its first service done today.

People have to make their own theories, like small engine=no power, rear blower does not cool the car,No space in the car, etc. Don't listen to them if they don't understand one thing once said.
Just enjoy your ride!! [:)]
Please share some photos of your car.
