Friends, now it's time for 3rd service.

These are things in my mind:
1: Replace the oil with synthetic oil.
2: There are some minor rattling sound from roof and seats.
3: Remaining as per the MASS schedule.

Please suggest what all I need to ask/request MASS during 3rd service.

Did any one also feel the rattling sound from 2nd row seat's lever and roof.
yeah i had rattling noise from 2nd row,i convinced them by taking them on drive 2 days before.SA called his senior technician for TD,so we were 3.
Problems were
=>2nd row AC rattle
Solution:Took them on TD,they heard the noise they were convinced.Assured me to fix it,within an hour.Inserted some sort of padding to reduce noise by taking vents out.

=>Air cutting noise from front 2 quarter glasses(speed >60kmph)
solution:Noticed during same TD above, took on Eastern freeway, since it is nearby MASS,there was severe air cutting noise from both glass beading's even at 60 kmph.(took it on 140 kmph)[evil]
There was a material provided Maruti suzuki to fix this issue.(as per senior technician)

According to senior technician above both problems are with majority of Ertiga, and they have received official letter regarding this from MS.

I booked the servicing request with comment as

"Comments: This is my 3rd service and till now rattling issue has not been fixed. I have not escalated this matter as I had faith in Suraksha Care. But this time, I request the management to fix it permanently. Pls book it for E-City"

Within 30 minutes got a call from Suraksha Car care and the person promised me to take care of the issue.

I have a very good rapport with the supervisor who takes care of my car. So I mentioned to the person who called me that " I am not complaining against the Supervisor as he rectified the issue once in past but now once again it is creating little noise".

hi Friends..Even my VDI is due for 3rd Service this weekend. I have taken appointment this sunday morning. As mentioned by ZMR and Taidhana getting
1 Engine Oil replaced. (I would prefer to get same replaced in front of me as don't trust any service centers)
2. Noticed rattling sound from rear seats.
3. The Headrest of 2nd Row are very stiff and difficult to move up and down.
4. Rotating the tyres and wheel Alignment.

Is Engine Flushing needed now when she is 9500kms old?

Cheers

I was also told the same justification during last service for air noise issue. But some of our friends in forum, have successfully got rid of the problem (MASS has replaced quarter glass beading free of charge).

For seat / AC noise from middle row - the problem was rectified at 5K service. However it re-surfaced little later. Will report again this time. If not resolved planning to raise as complaint.

Hello everyone!
Did anyone upgrade the headlamps?
I want to change the stock ones ever since my trip to Manali-Rohtang, they made the trip VERY dangerous as there's no street lights in hilly areas, moreover no moonlight in monsoon season. No pothole was visible even from 20ft (in 100% dark), so had to switch to high beam and scrolled them all the way down.
So basically the stock headlamps are very poor for highway driving.
I'm searching for the ones that won't require any relay or extra wiring.
Are Phillips 60/55w xtreme vision good?

If you dont want to go with relay & 90/100 bulbs than the best option possible is philips xtreme vision and osram night breaker plus. They produce more light than the stock bulbs but cant be compared to 90/100 with relay kit.

Saby bhai, I have recently upgraded to 90/110 Watt using relay. It cost me 1400 but light is good enough. My wife and bro in law always used to complain to upgrade the light as stock lamp is only meant for city. I went to Tirupati had night driving and really struggled to figure out two bumper. So after kissing bumpers started driving very cautiously.

Before getting changed, I got confirmation from M.A.SS about warranty part and he asked me to go ahead.

THank you!
I'll confirm about installing Relay from MSS tomorrow, I read many others also installed the same, so it shouldn't void the warranty.

HI saby stock wiring is only for city driving condition,it is not at all made for highways.
Night+Rain condtion+windy road makes to dangerous.
When i was on my trip, stock headlamp, new car, raining like cats and dog, missed 2-3 diversion, hit 2 pools of water, turns were never seen, pothholes were never seen, and 6+ hours for 150kms what can i say worst experience of my driving.
Then after the trip, straight away changed it to 100/90 setup, after that i never complained about light throw.

Asked warranty issue to mass, only headlamp warranty will be affected.

Word of caution: don't let the electrician to cut any wires, all should be done using connectors.

Guys I am done with 3rd Servicing,
1: Engine oil replaced with Shell synthetic.
2: Air filter
3: Cabin noice fixed.
4: Set of IND Number plates.

Total cost : 5230.

Issue after service : Today morning while coming to office I am seeing that temperature gauge is not working. Hope this should not be matter to worry believing that it is a minor issue. Experts please suggest what could be reason for this. Right now I am seeing only three - - - instead of temperature reading.

Thanks,
Alok

Do you see noticeable difference because of synthetic oil change (the vehicle will feel better with mineral oil change itself generally). Is smoothness, pickup difference etc significantly better? Mileage ofcourse it will take sometime to assess. I know the difference may not be extensive. Still wanted to check first hand accounts on Ertiga.

I'm running 1k km now with mobil synthetic, yes engine feels bit refined and FE depends on your driving style only.

yes it purely depends on our driving style. Last tankfull I did some aggressive driving and had my car run in idle for ac. I got 15.5kmpl which is recorded the lowest mileage of my red bull.
