Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZDi Bought: Ownership Review

I read in the news today that Maruti is planning to increase the price of its cars from 1st week of October . Does anyone have any idea if there could be a increase in Ertiga ZDI price?

It is a 2 channel bridgeable amplifier with RCA input.i have wiring to,but i am interested in buying new one,cause older was having some problem with connectors.

Wires would be power cables,RCA cables,and amp to subwoofer cable,what can be the total cost.

I am also interested in changing case of subwoofer,and getting a compact one,stock one is not large,but still.

budget is quite tight. max around 2k

Ok let me know once you change the subwoofer box. I am also looking for it as my subwoofer box is big and cannot have it i the boot unless I fold the seat.

XUV is much better than the Ertiga in many ways. If you have the budget for the XUV, why look at the Ertiga? Choose between the XUV, Innova & Aria.

The XUV is good VFM for its price, but not everyone can afford the price. and moreover it doesnt have the 3rd row space and boot space and handling of the Ertiga! Also I don't like the front and rear looks of XUV personally, looks too much overstyled and like a TRANSFORMER robot! Ertiga is best for the price with better value and price and awesome flexibility! The Aria and Innova are not as convenient and value offering cars after all!

i just saw u post review about the XUV being compared to ertiga. i just changed my car from ertiga vdi to xuv500 and we cannot both the cars and fyi the third row of seats is more spacious and comfortable than the ertiga in the xuv

Yes XUV has more comfortable rear seat than ertiga. Vishal can you please share your experience with ertiga and xuv since you had experience with ertiga already how is the ride and handling of both cars.

ha ha ha how funny! The 3rd row is cramped in XUV whereas in Ertiga it can be adjusted and has better support, XUV's 3rd row is erect, hard and claustrophobic too! I have checked it personally too.

1st thing is that we cannot compare XUV with Ertiga but when it come to luggage space and 3rd row seat comfort Ertiga has lead over XUV.
moreover getting in and out to/from 3rd row of Ertiga is more easy that XUV and innova too.

I have booked my Ertiga ZDI today (White color, Steel wheels) , expected delivery time 4 weeks.

Can some one please suggest on Alloy Vs Steel wheels.

The sales guys is saying, we can replace with Alloy wheels later for 25K. Right now the difference is 30K between ZDI Alloy & Steel wheels.

Is the replacement will be same of quality as factory fitted alloy wheels or there any other differences?

Just buy with steel rims, for 25k you get good alloys from outside.

I was planning to buy ZDI with steel wheels & then upgrade just 4 of them to alloys. Approximate savings:

1. Price difference between both models is 30K, while 4 alloys will cost only around 20K. Straight away you will save 10K
2. Since Ex-showroom price is lower, you will save both in tax and also insurance. I guess savings was close to 5 - 6K (not too sure)

I have only steel rims on my Vdi currently. Will upgrade to some nice alloys after some time. By the way, which brand will be good? and it should be reasonably priced too!

Friends, now it's time for 3rd service.

These are things in my mind:
1: Replace the oil with synthetic oil.
2: There are some minor rattling sound from roof and seats.
3: Remaining as per the MASS schedule.

Please suggest what all I need to ask/request MASS during 3rd service.

Did any one also feel the rattling sound from 2nd row seat's lever and roof.

ZMR. Mine is also due for 3rd service - planning to give it early next week and considering same set of aspects you have mentioned.
1. Engine flush & oil replacement with synthetic oil - to experience difference myself
(I had done first replacement at 5K - mineral oil)
2. Fixing of all rattling issues with 2nd row seats, door pads etc
3. Others recommended as per MASS schedule
4. Fixing wind noise issue related to front quarter glass

Exclusions:
1. Any 'extra' recommendations from MASS - coatings, additives, interior cleaning etc
2. Wheel alignment, balancing and rotations - I don't trust them. Have a very good & trusted tyre shop in neighborhood
3. Dashboard polishing since I hate the sticky, stinky feeling. I clean it every week with damp cloth every time I wash exteriors
