Hi everyone,
Is it possible to insert aftermarket square reverse camera in baleno zeta's back chrome plate?
I have seen lots of square cameras in aliexpress.com. if someone knows the dimensions of the reverse camera in alpha varient ,pls do post it here...
Just check with MASS, I spoke to one of my SA just to enquire and he said to install camera in rear they need to remove the chrome which is not a good idea I guess. he recommended to get another hole drilled in bumper and get the camera fixed but I refused as I don't want any mods like that. and moreover I am happy with the inbuilt reverse alarm which is perfect. just check before you buy.

Hi everyone,
I have been following this post for quite some time.

I am planning to buy a new car. Considering avg 500-700 km monthly use i would go for petrol.
Having a budget of 7ish Lacks on road Baleno was the first choice of mine. So booked a Ray-Blue Delta but then my brother is insisting me cancel the booking as he has got lots of negative review of the car. So much so that he made me book scross which is way better build than its nexa sibling.
But that car is bit out of budget for me. So cancelled it later and booked baleno instead.

Even on this thread there are lots of problem owners are facing. Its making me feel insecure about the car.

So after getting tired of all reviews booked a dzire last week. But looking both cars side by side on road baleno looks way better.
Now the problem with dzire is there is new model coming next year i dont want to stuck with an old outdated model after spending that much money.

Its like a fight between Mind and Heart. Mind says go for dzire but heart say go for baleno.
In competition i20(petrol) engine perfomance is very mediocre, Jazz is overpriced.

Now i have two cars booked and one to choose.
I am really stuck here. Its driving me nuts from last one week.

Do not be upset over the issues the Baleno gives nor the Dezire is a perfect one. For one car to really gauge about the reliability, it should be in the market at-least for 2 years to prove it's worth of your Money, there will be nicks and knacks in today's car. You've got to settle for one, that's all.

Unfortunately our manufacturers tend to set right things after testing it on us customers, but that shouldn't shoo you off from buying your dream. [:)]

If you are really worried about built quality/Suspension issue and if you can adjust with less mileage, Low power pull , Check once Ford Figo Aspire, which looks more stable and VFM, in the Price bracket of Baleno Delta you'll get Figo Aspire Titanium(and which is a Compact Sedan indeed).I took test drive of it, and only the FE/Mediocre Engine power made me to choose Baleno over Aspire.
Have a test drive and decide. Think 100 times before taking a decision than brooding later.
All the Best Bro.

Currently booked Baleno as of now. This gives me window of atleast 3-4 month. So will see if maruti actually solve any of the issue o/w i think i will go for ciaz in 2017.

I had TD of aspire diesel. Diesel motor felt very nice though. Almost convinced me to buy it. But i am not sure about After sales and Resale value of ford. I have seen many figo owner selling their car for so low whereas at same price point swift gets best resale value. And i have heard that ford spares are costly.

Also got some offers that buy a Baleno with accessories pack (costs 60-80K, and 20k discount on top of that if you are really interested) and get instant delivery (Only urban blue color left now though). But i am holding my decision and made a mind to buy car in 2017 (feb-march) this gives me enough time to decide.

Thanks for your feedback/suggestions [:)]

I totally agree with you.Same situation I had been. We Marutian have this addiction, that feels uncomfortable to choose out of Maruti.I too had all this Dilemma.
Yes your doubt about resale is quite obvious point to be taken care, as already Ford slashed price of Figo Aspire after the less response from the buyer after its grand launch, so obviously Resale rate will be less,as it is already branded as not a hot cake in terms of sales concern. And about Parts they said, they've reduced price and cut service cost competitive to MASS, don't know how far it's true.(Even they displayed Price list of Spare parts in comparison to other car makes like,Maruti,Hyundai,Etc in thier Ford Showroom)
Anyhow you have booked Baleno, so check for waiting period, meanwhile check for Swift'2017, so if it's ready that time, you can go for it also, looks like it won't be a let down after Baleno release. They've to launch successor of Old Swift/Baleno,with more stability, more Fuel efficiency, more durability to sutvive/compete with other cars.
Finally it's your call dude.

I think Swift will be launched in late 2017. Cant wait that long.
Meanwhile one of my family friend is selling his Ecosport Trend diesel. 45000 kms done. Good condition. Asking for 5.6 Lacks.
That is very tempting offer. But not sure about buying a second hand car even though car is in very nice condition.

Hello friends,
I have booked Baleno Zeta petrol last week. However, now i'm seeing lots of negative reviews about the suspension of this car. Is this as hard as Tractors and autos? because i have seen lots of review like this.Or it's normal as every car having this kind of suspension issue.

Since this is m first car, getting lots of confusion regarding this.
Do i cancel this and go ahead with I20 elite.

Hello itsmeKarthik

The suspension is not as hard as tractors or autos, man! It is quite comfortable and car-like, but there are more comfortable cars around. The rear is more tuned for handling than comfort, and that is it. The stability at sharp corners you enjoy comes at the cost of comfort when driving over potholes. For a highway user, the suspension should not pose any problem. In city, one has to take it a bit easy.

The stiffness can be best compared to Swift. And, it sells like hotcakes despite having a 'rally based' (in the words of Maruti) suspension. So it is not such a major problem. No car is perfect.

The petrol engine of the i20 is a letdown when compared to Baleno's unit. Otherwie it has no real drawback in front of Baleno. You should do a test drive of each one of them and then decide.

Regards,
Alpha

You r absolutely right.
I feel Baleno suspension is better than, Swift Zxi, Everytime I use to feel the road noise and each and every single potholes and concrete patches.
Will share my hands on review in 2-3 days.. finally I'm getting my Gun Mettle next week, after 1 month wait.

Hi all,
Reg. suspension issue..
One of friend having Zeta Petrol and he faced the suspension issue recently. He had raised the compliant to Nexa and got call from them today. They said, Yes there is an issue with Suspension and our Engineering team working on that to fix the issue.
In next service, it will be resolved like that they have informed him.
Can we expect the fix in near future?
Anyone have any idea????

Can we expect that Suspension issue will be fixed in 2017 model?

Ok, I was the one of the first to report the issues with the suspensions and let me be one of the 1st to tell you by personal experience it isint so much of an issue. The initial batch of cars, including mine, came with the issue. After complaints from so many users, MS took note and their cars after June didnt have the same issue. MS is also replacing suspensions for customers who complain consistently, including mine.
The suspension is still stiff. Not as comfortable as a sedan but a lot better now. You can still feel all of the road ala the Swift. But with the revised suspension, its a lot less tiring to sit in the back and some more seat cushioning (you can add it) its could be called plush. The new cars will obviously come with the updated parts. If you are comfortable with the Swift's ride, the Baleno will be no different

Hopefully, this puts an end to all queries regarding stiff suspension

I'd like to know more about this. I bought up the suspension issue twice during servicing but did not get a favorable response. Can I directly approach MASS or should I go through Nexa customer support ?
