The steering gets locked as soon as the ignition is off. And once you start the engine it will be unlocked automatically. You will see the signs on MID and keep checking the alarms as it guide you well as what needs to be done or if you missing something before you roll. Drive under 50 kmpl untill you gets your hands on everything.

I completed 980 km in Zeta petrol, Today I checked coolant level, and its is on low level [cry] . I am not sure is it common for new car?, Can any one help in this? Yesterday I drove 200+ kms, 100 kms in morrning (took break for 2 hrs) and in afternoon (hot summer) 40km (break 20 mint) -> 30 km (Break 30 mint) - > 50 km (Reached home), Is this journey can cause low coolant level?

Can you please elaborate on the 'low level'. Are you referring to the marker on the coolant container under the hood?

Just from my experience, I know coolant is evaporating if i see smoke coming up through my hood [glasses] It was scary for the first time. But now I know it is coolant evaporating. If you haven't seen any smoke coming up from your hood during your previous journey, then it should be good.

So, the worst thing that happened me was the entire coolant evaporated, engine temperature shot up and the radiator ceased. Replacing the radiator did blow huge hole in my pocket. Of course, there was another problem with a sensor which caused the coolant to evaporate but that would be another story.

If you see any purple, blue or pink fluid under your car when you have parked then you have a leakage in the pump. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Worst case, your car wont start when its completely drained

If you are concerned about the coolant level just top it up. Its a simple DIY job.

Dears,

I would like to share my experience as well. I have not driven the car much , because I gift it to my wife. But couple of times I have taken a drive of the Baleno. I Have purchased Alfa Model ( Petrol) and have noticed very high level of Vibration in HID lights . But company people says that its normal phenomenon , which I don't agree with.

Please let me know if some one else have also faced the same issue , so that it can be raised on higher level vibration of HID lights is purely a product defect or quality compromise.

I am in continuously in touch with Maruti and have also dropped a mail regarding the same.

If you have also faced the issue , please share your email ID's or drop me a mail.

I will loop you all in and will get the issue resolved.

Coolant is green, so any leakage would be that colour.

In a new car, the coolant level shouldn't drop. If you are sure its low, take the car to the ASC immediately

Thanks Ameyam and Soap, Yes I was referring low mark for coolant container under hood.
I checked under hood, near coolant container, I didnt see any liquid mark. It might be evaporate, I am not sure on road or near my stop location.
When I took delivery, I asked my RM to open coolant container, I doubt he didnt close properly and it might be reason to loose coolant in hot environment.

Anyway my first service is due on 16th so forcefully need to give some rest to Zeta.[frustration]

Thanks Suryaputhra, Sorry for delayed as I stuck with some work.
Its wonderful information. Its pleasure to get such a technical information from you in depth[:)]. I was following you in other threads and you are rocking.

As per your suggestion I checked but no sign for leakage, I completed first service yesterday and service manager told there is no sign of leakage, Now I need to monitor coolant level regular.

Regarding car stall in first gear, they added some play in clutch. Service manager told it will fix car stall problem.

The Engine hood lock of my Baleno Zeta is not working. For last 2-3 days whenever I locked the car the siren was sounding 3 times instead of once. So, I checked the manual and got to know that it happens when the engine hood is open. Then I check it and found that it was not locking. Recently my car cleaning guy had opened the hood to clean the engine bay but I don't remember if the problem started at that time or some mischievous person opened the engine hood when the car was parked. Nothing in the engine bay looks like changed or tempered, as far as I guess. Let me know if you find something unusual.
What can be the issue why the hood is not locking. Will the service centre charge to resolve the issue or will they do it for free?

The bumper has a coat of of primer & the scratch usually damages it. You can patch with com paint but you wont get a smooth finish, just wont look black
