Hello everyone.

Just gone through with previous post as I was on road for couple of days so couldn't log in.

I am not sure if I am the lucky one or m I just driving it correctly watever it is but my zeta didn't give a slight trouble at all. Just cane back from 638 kms trip from Tirupati and the car was like butterfly. No hic cups..glides nicely through pot holes.

Also just to add I had seat cover installed from outside. It cost me 10 k from local dealer. This was PU leather and it has extra foam attached from inside. So after fitting it gave extra cushioning which gave more comfort at back.

Driven totally 1800 kms approx and beside that steering sound no major issues. Yes suspensions are little stiff but its not bad. My mom was sitting behind and she didn't complained once also about any bumps. We were 4 travelling and everyone so happy. Infact my mom said till now this was the best trip she had.

Today gave the car for water wash and also as steering needs to be repaired so kept it at station for check.

@shri,

just finished a long distance trip myself- a total of 350km. Started with the tyres at 28psi. But I did feel the stiff ride once past 100kmph. Stiffness of ride depends on road type. On smooth well used tar, it just glides through. But most of the road was concrete with some pretty rough joints and the car kept bouncing around. Finally, my mom, who was in the back, complained she thought she would get spondylitis. That was mostly her complaining though. I got her to sit in the front and myself moved to the back. The ride is definitely rough and stiff in the back. Ok for us but the pensioners will feel it. Add to that adding a neck pillow in the back causes one to site with the chin slightly raised and that loads the neck. I removed the pillow and was able to sit quite comfortably but I couldn't work on my laptop in the back at speeds over 80. Have reported this to MS and they have confirmed the issue and that they were working on it.

Regarding the steering issue. I didn't feel it while going to Pune but did feel it on the way back, especially on the straight stretch between Pune and Lonavala on the expressway. My (experienced) driver's view was that the car was getting affected by the wind though I didn't see any headwind as the trees next to the road weren't moving. Once we got through the ghat section, I didn't feel any drifting.

I have a small observation though- the passenger side tail light has begun to move and creak. Not audible from within the car but I heard it when I was getting down. MS seems to say its normal but I will get it checked anyway

Yeah mine was most of the time tar road. There was a concrete road in Tirupati city and it was really rough you can feel it. I agree. Thank god we don't have much concrete in Bangalore.

But overall m happy with the vehicle. I kw v all have too much expectations with Baleno and I think this has created little more disappointment.

Thats the point I was making regarding the road.

I dont think we are expecting anything wrong with the Baleno. If we wanted a cheap (in quality) city run around, we would have bought an Alto. Heck, even the Swift and Ritz are more sorted. The Baleno has some quality issues and some basic problems. That would be expected of a new car. However it follows in the footsteps of the Swift and Ritz and cost a whole lot more, so we expect the product to be good and MS to be proactive in fixing any niggles. Thats why we are irritated.

To be frank, even I am happy with the car, terms and conditions applying.

For my tail light noise issue, I had the car taken to a Maruti service centre next to my office where I know quality work is done based on my colleague's experience. They had a look and told me some hook or clip has become loose and asked me to have it fixed under warranty. Its really that simple- the ASC should see the car, acknowledge the problem and endeavor to fix it. Thats where I have an issue with Sai Service

I find Mandovi motors really good here when it comes to service. Also i try to use the same chain where i bought the vehicle from which is Mandovi motors, hence they dealing with the steering issue well. Today the service advisor called me and informed that they are checking for the noise and if needed they will replace the steering whole.

I understand it depends on dealer how they handle it.

Agree on that point. I am too happy with the car with terms and conditions. Frankly I don't find anything really premium about it beside it looks and size but as a family hatch I think it will be my first choice always.

Net- Net, end of the day it makes me smile always

reposting this..

I have a problem with Follow me home or Guide to car lamps in my alpha.
The guide to car lamps works fine but i don't see Follow me home lights lit up after locking the car. They never lit up actually.

Am i missing something here or is there anything that i have to do. I have tried all the settings in the MID - turning off the guide to car option and locking the car, resetting all the MID to default etc. But still it doesn't seem to work.

Please let me know if there is any catch here that I'm missing.

New Maruti baleno : Weight distribution?

I've read Baleno's manual where it stats "max permissible" front and rear axle weight. Weight distribution data is nowhere to be found.

I want to know it just for sake of it!

P.S I'm talking about Petrol K12M model.

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me which is the best ASC to get my car serviced in Bangalore (In and around Whitefield / Mahadevpura / R.M Nagar). I saw Kalyani Motors and Bimal but not sure about which one is better.

I would suggest to go for same chain where you bought the car from. I bought mine from Mandovi and was suggested by our very close relative who works as senior manger in RNS motors to get the 1st three servicing done from Mandovi ASC only as they take little extra care, and for my surprise they really did very well then what I expected. I think this goes for all other dealers as well.

But I might have to take it to Hyderabad again. My 1st service is already done in Hyderabad. Now time for my 2nd Service. and looking to get it done in Bangalore instead of going to Hyd all the way. Ya, I agree they take little extra care if we take the car to the same dealer where we actually took delivery from.

Quite the opposite, maybe only my personal experience,i found the other workshop of a maruti suzuki dealer to be better than that of the workshop of the dealer from where i bought the car.Though there are no separate nexa bays yet they do the job quite carefully and responsibly.I want to know If trying out new workshops is a good idea!?
