Re: Maruthi Baleno 2015 - Alpha Petrol :: White Horse - Ownership Review

Got the styrofoam casing from MGP dealer.

Cost is Rs. 725 /-

Though it did solve my problem from rattling noise of toolkit in the boot, but it also made me unhappy for buying the styrofoam as the boots cardboard base didn't sit in its position because the styrofoam having a height of atleast 1inch above the tyre made the cardboard not to sit in its place. I have also removed the 3 small soft cushions on the cardboard base (as you can see in the last image) but still the left corner part and right corner part of the cardboard base doesn't sit on the cars body flat and is left in air. For time being i have added the white foams as a support at the corners.

If any one is planning (I doubt if anyone would) then my advise is do not buy. I will try to find out a solution.

Hi Sandeep,
Some1 on the forum had mentioned that the styrofoam of Ciaz had a perfect fit. The only thing to be done was to turn the spare tyre upside down. Have you done that, and is that styrofoam of Ciaz. Please let us know as I am planning on buying/ordering it today.
Thanks.

Hi RDx, I think you are referring to the details posted by me in this thread.

Yes, the styrofoam is same for Ciaz and Scross. I did turn the spare tyre upside down and the outcome was what i mentioned in my previous post. For now i recommended not to buy. I will check what can be done and will post if I am successful

Hey Sri.

The news is indeed true. Baleno waiting period has gone up to 6 months.
I took the delivery from Jayabheri Nexa in Kondapur. Experience was good atleast to me (as i heard many people complaining about the bad experience they had with NEXA all around INDIA).

The RM who dealt my booking has left Nexa now. He is good and answered all my calls and was very transparent to let me know the status and the position in the Q I am in. My only disappointment is with the Color. I opted for Grey color as my first priority and second was White. But took the delivery of White color.

Not sure if this is true but Grey is the least color seen on roads and seems like Maruthi is dispatching a very low number of Greys.

I think you could have waited and took the granite grey color itself because as you said the color in baleno is very rare. Whit is also a good color and i am not saying it is bad i gels well with the black smoke headlamps. IMO i would have opted granite grey or autumn orange.
