I have removed the chrome hub caps for the time being, as they tend to develop surface rust during monsoon.

Just a suggestion, use rust converter all over so that you can protect from further rusting.

Yes varun, Thinking to get a coat of redoxide on the underbody followed by black paint. Or starightaway anti rust coating.
Suggestions will be appreciated on this. I have to keep this car absolutely rust free for atleast 2 years. After that something interesting is planned.

You can apply primer for your satisfaction ! Later get the underbody coating that should look fine also lasts long.

Today did a short trip of 150 Kms (Total). Car performed really great. I am mighty impressed with my car. 150 Kms was covered in flat 4 hours (Including two breaks of 20 min each). Got an impresseive mileage of approx 17 Kmpl.
Did some triple digit speeds too on empty roads. Car doesn't struggle at all. It just keeps pulling like anything. Hats off to the carb work.
This trip is a slap on faces of those who believed that i m wasting my money and time on this car, and it's not road worthy.
My car has proved all of them wrong and did these 150 Kms with ease.
More long runs planned.

Thanks a lot raneet, Glad that you enjoyed reading throughout. I have a long way to achieve that showroom condition, but i am sure that i will achieve that level and make my car- "The best T1 in town".
Presently, me and shashi are in search of some more original parts. We have found a couple of them. We will disclose it soon.

2 Did you source the Hindi Maruti sign from the MASS ?

To answer your questions, i did not buy headrests, just got them re furbished from the seat guy only. However, i do not find them comfortable and will be getting a new set soon.
The hindi maruti sticker was sourced from a local shop who was in process of clearing out his old stocks.
There are 2 more surprises lined up, which i will reveal in some days. Stay tuned.

Headrests should be available with MGP stores. As per my part catalog, part number is 86401M84530. The price should be somewhere between 350 to 400 bucks (For 1).
If not available, try placing order with MGP.
