It looks good to me.It will cater to those who want an extra seating arrangement. It will take lot of customers from kwid due to Mahindra aggressive pricing & dealer network. There are many people who will considere this instead of hatchback

Hell it's ugly! The Elegant sides and rear are a mismatch on the ugly looking front!
It's very irritating to listen this contraption being called an "SUV" so strongly!
The interiors seem nice, but is there a 3-point seatbelt for the middle passenger/Kid?
The reviewer is clearly exaggerating everything with words "SUV", "fantastic" and "Awesome".
But Hell! I would be seeing many of this on the roads! YUCK![frustration]

completely agree with you dj bro. the car looks pathetic from every angle.
just look at the rear. i mean what is going on. those hideous big tail lights , the wheels seems like 12" because of the body size.
there was no need for the body line on the rear fender. flat doors would have looked better. why'd they extend the headlamps like that [frustration]

SUV seriously

Do they know about the meaning of SUV.
These mini tyres make it ugly to the core along with the rear bumper.

And the rear door lines, how will it be handled in body shop if any repair is required? Guess what - change the entire door.

However it will sell. Period

To be honest, Mahindra is just trying to milk the SUV tag. No one is going to buy it if it were marketed as a hatchback. The solution? - Give it some 180mm GC and call it an SUV ! Then why not buy a much more dynamically accomplished and refined product like Fiat Avventura ?

Quickly a few notes to be considered:

1. Design Quirky yes, but not that bad.
2. Connected passenger seat, um ok!!
3. The connected seat has a seat belt stopper/release (the red press lock)
4. Ergonomically they should have placed the hand brake on the right side below the dash.
5. LG Engineering executed the interiors, seriously?
Edit:
6. The boot will be a pinch larger than the Nano GenX

another 24 hours and the verdict will be out, till then ke-sara-sara

regards

Price will be biggest USP of kuv100. If it is priced lower than expected, than it would feel value for money.Buyers will not considere its small tyres, qirky design etc.But if it is priced higher it will be another verioto vibe ,quanto, for Mahindra. But I have a feeling this will be well accepted by the market. It will bring 6000+ numbers to M&M.It will certainly lure customers away from Kwid.In rural areas people will prefer kuv or kwid

Most of the part & design is carried over from other Mahindra vehicle's, specially New Gen Scorpio.
E.g. AC buttons, ORVM adjuster, Headlight & wash wipe stick (don't remember exact name) are taken from Scorpio. Instrument cluster & speedometer dial has same design like Scorpio.

Actually mahindra is sharing most of the parts to keep manufacturing cost at low. We can expect amazingly low pricing tomorrow at launch. Don't have any proof, its my assumption.

KUV1OO Launched!
The KUV100 (pronounced KUV ‘one double oh’) has seven variants on offer, starting with the base K2, going up to K2+, K4, K4+,K6, K6+ and the top-spec K8

The KUV1OO will be powered by Mahindra’s all-new mFalcon engine family, and offer two engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor making 82bhp at 5,500rpm and 11.73kgm of torque at 3,500-3,600rpm. The diesel is also a 1.2-litre three-cylinder motor that puts out 77bhp at 3,750rpm and 19.37kgm of torque at 1,750-2,250rpm. Power from both the motors is sent to the front wheels via an all-new five-speed manual transmission.

Inside, the KUV100 ditches the conventional 2+3 seating arrangement for the 3+3 seating which makes it the only six seater in the segment. The arrangement has been made possible by the addition of a bench seat. To house the bench seat, the gear lever has been mounted on the dash and the handbrake moved to the base of the centre console. The six-seat layout comes as standard on the K2 and K2+ variant, while other variants get the option of the five-seat as well.
In terms of safety, the carmaker has offered ABS as standard across the range along with driver and passenger airbags.
