Here's one of the conversation i had :-

At the Mahindra Dealership , a few scorpio/xylo owners came around chatting with me while i was awaiting accessory fitment ( conversation in marathi and i am adding some english translation, people knowing Marathi would relate to it better):-

GuyA :- Gadi kashi aahe , kiti dete ( Hows the vehicle , how much average ? )

Me:- Early to say Avg seems to be over 16 on sedate runs and the vehicle has some minor electronics niggles so far. Mechanically all is well.

Guy B to Guy A :- arey he scorpio var body navin lavala aahe, same engine aahe ( this is nothing but a new body over scorpio, same engine ), thode button jast dile aahet aath ( a few more buttons have been given inside)

Guy A:- aaila mhanje he scorpio aahe ka ? ( ah so this is a refreshed scorpio ?)

Me :- err, this is a all new monocoque with a retuned mhawk engine with a variable geometry turbo and i go on explaining ...

Guy B :- Arey sir he sagla scorpio madhe pan ahee , turbo mhanje rocket sarka, gaadi nusta davte ( Sir, the same turbo is there in scorpio as well , turbo means rocket, it makes the vehicle run faster ).

Me :- umm ( by this time i knew i had no chance against these guys, so i decided not to try hard to explain ).

Guy B :- ya gaadiche body balance hote ka ? ( does the vehicle have body balance )

Me :- what do u mean ?

Guy B :- Xylo madhe fast ghelo bekaar rastya var na body halte and balance karte - ek dam smooth ( in the Xylo the body rolls and smoothens out bumps in fast roads and what he meant by this is the body roll and he was making it sound like a feature )

Me :- nahi body balance nahi aahe ( sorry there is no such feature in this - didnt even dare explaining!! )

Guy B :- Sir mi aikala dongaravarna khali slope madhe slow jaate ( Sir i heard it goes slow on slopes in the mountains ) - problem aahe (its a problem)

Me :- Ho problem aahe ( yes hmm err unfortunately its a problem - I realised he was referring to hill descent and the auto braking, not sure who is his source of knowledge - but god help both of them!! )

Guy B :- Xylo bari aahe ma , asa kahi lafda nahi, ek dam fast slope madhe ( The Xylo is better then - no such problems, goes fast in the slopes ).

Ha ha the coverastions were funny, i was understanding a few words of marathi.

Our Konkani is far better than Marathi.

For Body balance, you would have suggested TVS Wego. (Just joking)

You missed telling them 140 HP mhawk engine, infact i had suggested Mahindra to name this engine as mFalcon engine, may be for twin turbo version they can take my suggestion.
