Congrats on your buy. Personally, I don't like the XUV-its too Korean and gimmicky for my taste- but there's no doubt that its indeed an extremely competent vehicle and the best product ever from Mahindra's stable. I hope the electronics do not give you much problem in the long run. Please keep the thread updated.

@ cooldhaya & Iron Rock

Guys on cars like Innova/ Aria which are crossovers(chassis of SUV+design cues of sedan) roof carrier looks really ugly and makes them look like taxi, but on SUVs this roof carrier makes the vehicle appear more macho if you can fit sexy spotlights in front of it.

Though I have been saying this all along -lack of boot space in a 10+lac car is simply unacceptable.[frustration]
Well Xover agree to your SUV/Crossover opinion with regards to roof carrier..on the boot space aspect if u look at it as a 7 seater as i said before in my review the problem is apparent - infact my view is if u have 7 adults(moderate indian family) to carry all the time, i dont think an XUV and Aria would be a good choice , simply because the third row is more for kids or short adults. No wonder the Innova caters so well in taxi segment..

It all depends on what our requirements and needs are with a car and then really the car chooses you [;)]

Thanks for passing by ,I intend to keep a honest objective unbiased thread, so u will hear all the facts, so far as you have read yes there are minor niggles as i said, but i am getting a good response from M&M - but only time will tell, i will wait for another 6 months atleast before giving any opinion on the electronic stability aspects of the vehicle..

Thanks Raj, i must admit i had wrote off purple and the green one when i saw the shades online (hadnt seen it in person then) - i thought purple especially will look hideous.. but somehow the actual car in the above colors still looks fine , the color in person is much darker than what you see on the portal...honestly i wudnt mind owning any of the above 2 colors too..potential buyers, i would strongly suggest you have a look at all colors in person!!

Oh boy, the chormes have added some Machoness to the XUV'Y.

And this combination of jetblack looks good.

But get ready for certain drag that is created by the carrier.

Thanks Mukesh, yes it is grabbing immense attention, but i am sure we are going to have too much of this on the road soon, you are right about the drag, i plan to only use this for long drives - have a 3k trip planned for shortly - not confirmed yet.
Btw please do not take offence for some light hearted banter - was meant just for fun , [respect] !!!

@Vipul/Xover thanks - some more pics will follow - albeit all mobile ones for now. Will do better at the next opportunity.

Thanks codename47, two lines is a tough constraint, let me try, off course my personal opinion :-

1) Performance/ Luxury :- For the price range and a diesel suv its contemporary and most VFM if viewed as a 5 seater.

2) Overall Experience :- Mechanicals are spot on and proven, electronics could have been better, overall in terms of value for your moolah - good job done by Mahindra.
