I agree with Raj , since its mentioned 6 speed transmission it will nice if it gets 140HP and the 170HP will be a killer if its launched , Fortuner will definitely feel the heat!

thanks for pic raj! its looking very humungous and definitely not like any other mahindra..but shape of lights is not very attractive. and if LEDs are also not coming then mahindra is mistaking. hope pricing wil be right. and if that engine is going to be 140BHP then people will also have to compromise on FE! scorpio already doesnt have any good FE.

My Scorpio gives strictly 8-9kms/Litre in the city on highways 12.5-13.5 If driven well with Rpm in B/w 2000-3000.
While purchasing vehicle of that magnitude one will forget the F.E & thinks of driving pleasure.

I agree with mukesh. Nobody buys a scorpio for fuel efficiency.

But still, for records, my 120 bhp scorpio is more fuel efficient than my 101 bhp innova. speaks a lot about how indian manufacturers have moved the game so far ahead.

absolutely mate, i agree fully.Indian car manufacturers have came a long way and many long way to go ahead as well.New mahindra suv looks perfect wow with perfect curves and design, without messing up with its looks, front, grille, side profile, rear everything.Hope production version comes more similar to it.

And my 140BHP DICOR engine delivers slightly better FE than Scorpio! Umang our Indian manufacturers know that we are very much FE conscious and so i don think it will be really low.

Yes, the safari actually delivers better FE than the scorpio.

All is due to the gearing ratio. Scorpio is tuned for outright power delivery (according to ACI Vbox test, 120 bhp scorpio is faster than 140 bhp safari by 1 second!) whereas safari is tuned for fuel efficiency.

A friend of mine works in Mahindra's Igatpuri plant. He test drove the W201 & confirmed that the engine is transversely mounted. he says the interiors are very luxurious & spacious but did not reveal the launch date or pricing.

the dealer where i get my car serviced, confirmed the coming of new mahindra SUV and would compete with Aria,Fortuner range and would be priced around Aria.He said he had seen the version and confirmed its a superb product from mahindra which would succeed beyond Scorpio's range.

doesnt rear lights look bit hummer'ish?? but i love them anyways. and for front i think no one is able to correctly render it till now. i am very very eager to see whole car. vijay, raj, mukesh - cant you guys give some hint when's it coming??!!
