I would think that the Ertiga waitlisted guys and Storme folks will now be enticed to look at XUV booking. Tata's delay is probably going to cost them few hundreds of bookings.

Any idea if this time also M&M would be having limited bookings, draws etc.?

The price has increased but not by M&M.

Road tax for all diesel vehicles have gone up and hence the XUV5OO along with all other vehicles have seen an increase in the ex showroom prices.

Hi Bro's

I had asked the ( CAI Coimbatore ) Sales executive to make a TD of XUV 500,. they said there is no option for TD, [angry] I speak with Senior manager after his sought he gave a TD in their ground,. only limited distance,. but i asked him to take a minimum of 5 Kms they only i had to feel performance and other things [drive]

He refused to give me,..

:sorry: to say a good comments b'case of worst experience

It's a 6+1 gear and it's too short for me while driving compare with Xylo,.

There is a engine belt noise and A/C is not so good

^^^ Not giving test drives is not a good move by M&M. Here in Mumbai, I had a very pleasant experience. They were behind me till I took a test drive and even followed up with me for feedback.

Engine belt noise should not be there. Also, A/C of XUV is very strong. Maybe you got to drive a poorly maintained car.

That can't be true. I visited their dealership today and there was a dedicated TD vehicle parked in front of the showroom. I guess since the booking is closed, they aren't interested.

When did you visit?

I am planning to start a new business. Car-O-Tent business !! [;)]
Put tents in front of Mahindra showroom & rent it for a night before so that once showroom opens, you can be the first one to get in. [lol]

another info for you. but its on xuv 500. the prices have increased now w6 in delhi costs at 11.6L.

quite steep price increase from previous rates. w6 is eighty grand costly then its launch price.

Another Info:

This time the lauch will be PAN India and no lottery/draw system. It would be a staright booking system, a person will deposit Rs 40,000/- as a booking amount and within a week M&M will allot them a unique allotment number with tentative delivery date. As per dealer the waiting period will be around 2-3 months as capacity has been ramped up to 4000 units per month and all the backlog will be cleared by June end of previous booking.
So a guy if book it on 8th June itself migth get his vehicle in the month of July Second Half or so.

All the best guys, and yes do book it on day one or else you have to wait for 4-5 months.

OTR prices of XUV in Delhi are:

w6: 13.6L
w8: 15.6L
w8 AWD: 16.1L
All the abovementioned pricse are in approx.

Prices on XUV have been increased 3 times.
1st for Rs 30000 to Rs 55000/-

2nd: After Budget, due to increase in Excise duty
3rd: Now, with this new launch, so called increase in production cost.

Now the price difference is around Rs 80000/- since the time of its launch (@ Rs.10.8L now 11.6L in Delhi).

Mahindra is launching XUV in Australia on 18th of this month, when they are finding it difficult to complete the domestic orders i don't know how they are going to manage to feed the export market as well.

Profit margins must be higher in Oz. Indians can wait for 1 yr & feel proud about that. Want fast delivery of XUV ? Import it from Oz.[lol]
