well what i heard mr. pawan saying was 5OO which is not (0) zero as of five hundred but five o o alhpabet with continuing it with xylo and scorpio.It would launch by diwali for indian as well as south african market.The Alpha Numeric name is been taken from other multinational brands naming their premium SUV's like this, which would help mahindra as well was heard mr.pawan quoting.

Bad naming IMO just like TATA did with Aria. I hear people calling it Area or writing it as Ariya!
This one people will end up calling it as 500(five hundred) instead of 5oo!
I like their website though!

Ha ha well said dhaya, Arya you missed this word.
But till now in Bangalore i have hardly come across 3-4 Aria's.
XUV (Xtreme utility Vehicle)5 oo , i couldn't understand it at all.
Why did they gave such name.
May be they will start updating the product like Hyundai i10, i20, i45 etc....

I agree the name is weird but unique at the same time. If pronounced properly, it sounds cool as well! i think thats what mahindra intended.

The new mini xylo's and other trucks Genio will be serviced in the old A.S.S.
